Hinata had just come home after being dumped by her boyfriend of 2 years, Shino. She was upset, and just as she was about to go upstairs she was caught by Neji and Hanabi. Hinata didn't know what to do. Hanabi was caught in between helping her sister or telling her to stop crying before their father sees.

Suprisingly it was Neji who acted first. He hugged Hinata, it was awkaward but very much appreciated. She proceeded sob on Neji's should and mumbled words that only he could hear, she told him everything.

Neji's heart ached for his cousin for he too had exprienced a heartbreak, TenTen had dumped him for Lee not six months ago. Hanabi just looked back and forth from Neji and Hinata, until she thought she heard something. She turned to look and saw her father coming. Now normally she wasn't afraid of her father but today was the exception. She ran like hell.

Hyuuga Hiashi was a good shinobi, his missions were always complete and done right, and he followed all the rules,
including not showing emotion to anyone. So to see his first daughter sobbing in the middle of the living room on Neji's shoulder no less. They were both turned away from him so he cleared his throut loudly. The two burst apart.

"Uncle," Neji said

"Father." Hinata stuttered.

"What is the meaning of this Hinata, Neji." Hiashi barked.

Hinata was not in the mood for a confrontation and tried to sneak away. Both male Hyuugas in the room caught it.
Hiashi glared. And Neji wore an apolagetic look on his face.

"I did not give you permission to leave Hinata." Hiashi said calmly.

"I do not wish to tell you anything," Hinata remarked obviously trying to push his buttons. She was sad dammit!

"Do not talk back to me!" Hiashi screamed.

"I-" Hinata was cut off by Neji.

"Hinata-sama has just been heartbroken Hiashi-sama."

"Ridicoulus, it shouldn't matter what state she's in a ninja should know better"
"FATHER NOT EVERYTHING IS FUCKING ABOUT BEING A GOOD NINJA! DAMMIT!" Hinata screamed, she had finally burst.

After all these years of being pushed aside and not being taken seriously she had finally had enough.

Neji and Hiashi reeled by in shock at the emotion coming from the girl. Hinata was pleased. They were suddenly nervous.

"Yes, it is how do you think this family got where it is today?" Hiashi argued.

"By being good ninja, and by not being afraid of there emotions like you." Hinata said angrily.

"What does that have to do with being heartbroken." It was a question to Hiashi and Neji but a statement to Hinata.

"It has fuckin' everything to do with it." Hinata yelled. It was time to show her old man how she felt for once.

"NO it doesn't you're just trying to blame something on me that I didn't do." Hiashi replied. He now understood.
She wanted to blame him because it was the easy road out.

"Oh my Fucking...GAH!" Hinata babbled. Hiashi thought he had caught her with the way he was babbling. Hanabi was now standin behind the door listenin curiously. Happpy Hinata had finally stood up to him.

"Ha, that proves that-WHAT THE!" Hiashi yelled as he tried to dogde a coffee table sent his way. Where had Hinata learnt to do that?

"YOU DON'T FUCKING CARE AND THAT HAS EVERYTHING TO WITH BEING HEART BROKEN!" Hinata screamed.

"Yes I do ca-" Hiashi was cut off yet again.

"YEAH OF COURSE YOU DO." Hinata screamed. Then softly added, "THe money you get paid on missions helps. You care because you're paid too." With that she ran out of the house. Neji ran after her.

Hiashi just stood there with a sad face on, and for once he let his emotions show. He started crying too. He had no idea He should have though that's how it was with Neji. Hinata wasn't really any different. Gosh, he was an asshole!

Hanabi ran into the room to console her father.

Hinata and Neji spent the rest of the day in the park exchanging arguments, words, and tears.
