Chapter 1
Rhea's POV
''Go, come on...'' I mumbled. My sword had just jammed into the rocky ground. Percy, Annabeth and I had been fighting the giants.
''Yes!'' i yelled, finally pulling out my sword.
As I said that, I immediately started slashing through other monsters. Lately it hadn't been going well. Almost none of the gods had showed up to help us kill the giants. The scene wasn't pretty: we were obviously losing...only a few demigods were still standing.
''Rhea! Watch out!'' Percy and Annabeth screamed.
Right behind me, an empousai had been sneaking up on me. As soon as I saw her, I slashed my sword in her direction. But she was quicker. She bit me on the shoulder, and right then, two other empousai decided to help her out.
Then suddenly, a giant decided it was the best moment to kill me.
It picked up a nearby car, in which a mortal was sleeping. weirdly, it didn't wake up, even when elevated and thrown to me. at the same time, the giant breathed poison onto me. the last thing I remembered before fainting was the loud snore of the mortal still inside the car.
*Flashback*
A six month old Rhea laughed as her adoptive mother Hera played with her. The baby pulled the goddess's earrings. ''Oh Rhea, behave yourself.'' She said in a motherly tone as she placed the little baby back in her crib.
The goddess Hera wasn't usually like this. She didn't like demigods, especially when the child's father was Zeus. BU when the little girl's mother died and Zeus insisted they take her in, she couldn't help but fall in love with the baby the First time she saw her. Hera saw Rhea as her own child, who she loved very much and was protective over her.
''Oh, look at this.'' Her father, Zeus cooed as he towered over the baby. ''Look how cute she is.'' He smiled from ear to ear and brough his face close to the baby, making silly faces. ''She will be great one day. Like her dad, hmm?''
''Whoa! Excuse me! Hot stuff coming through! Excuse me. One side, Ares.'' Hermes arrived and gave Hera some white flowers.
''Why, Hermes, they're lovely.'' She commented as she smelled them.
''Yeah, you know, I had Orpheus do the arrangement. Isn't that too nutty?'' he said before he went over to Zeus, who put his hands behind his back, head high in the air, loking proud. ''Fabulous party. You know, I haven't seen this much love in a room... since Narcissus discovered himself.'' He pointed to a god that was looking at his reflection in the mirror.
While they weren't looking, little baby Rhea pulled out one of Zeus' lightning bolts and played with it. ''Dear, keep those away from the baby.'' Hera scolded her husband.
''Oh, she won't hurt herself. Let the kid have a little fun.'' Zeus said. Baby Rhea put the lightninh bolt in her mouth and got a little fried by the electricity. She tossed the bolt and started crying. The thrown lightning bolt flew throught the crowd of gods and goddesses and bounced off of a collumn, breaking it. Luckily, the collumn repaired itself and looked good as new.
In the meantime, Hera took the little baby girl into her arms as Zeus prepared for his speech. ''In behalf of my daughter, I want to thank you all for coming.''
He was interupted by Poseidon raising his hand above the crowd and jumping up and down, his yellow beach shirt making his strike out in the crowd. ''Hey, what about our gifts?'' he questioned as the other gods agreed.
Zeus and Hera motioned them to come forward as she placed the girl back in the crib. The gods and goddesses of Olympus lined up and waited for their turn to give their gift to the newest addition.
First one was Poseidon. He got to the little crib and smiled at the little brown haired tanned girl. ''Hey, there Rhea, it's your cool uncle Poseidon. I give you the ability to control water.'' He waved his hand over the baby and she glowed blue for a split second.
The next one was Aphrodite. ''Hey, sweety. My gift to you is beauty. You will be the most beautiful of them all.'' She waved her hand and the baby glowed light pink.
Then it was Ares' turn. He gave her the ability to handle any sort of weapon.
Then Nike, who said the girl will always exit the battle victorious.
Hecate gave her the ability to do magic.
Apollo gave her the ability to play any sort of instrument.
Artemis gave her enhanced aim and precision in the battle.
Athena gave her the gift of great intelligence and tactical knowledge.
Khione gave her the power to control ice.
Hephaestus gave her the ability to control fire and heat.
Iris gave her the ability to create multicolored fire and to create rainbows.
Then it was finally Hera and Zeus' turn to bless the small child with their powers. Zeus, since he was Rhea's father, she instantly inherited his powers so it was Hera's turn. She gave the small child the ability to create any food she wishes, which could be very convenient sometimes, and the ability to make things neat and orderly on command.
Hera handed the baby to Zeus carefully. ''Mind her head.''
''She's so tiny. My girl. My little Rhea.'' He gushed over the cute baby and kissed her head.
''How sentimental.'' They all turned around to see a figure lurking in the shadows. As the man stepped out of the shadows it turned out to be Hades, the God of the Underworld. ''You know, I haven't been this choked up... since I got a hunk of moussaka caught in my throat!'' he joked but nobody laughed. ''Huh? So is this an audience or a mosaic? Hey, how you doin'? Lookin' good. Nice dress.''
''So, Hades, you finally made it. How are things in the underworld?'' Zeus asked his brother.
''Well, they're just fine. You know,a little dark, a little gloomy. And, as always, hey, full of dead people. What are you gonna do?'' he said before he noticed little Rhea in the crib. ''Ah! There's the little sunspot. Little Twinkles.''
''Come on, Hades. Don't be such a stiff. Join the celebration!'' Zeus commented.
''Hey. Love to, babe... but unlike you gods lounging about up here... I regrettably have a full-time gig... that you, by the way, so charitably bestowed on me, Zeus.'' Hades shrugged his shoulders. ''So, can't. Love to, but can't.''
''You ought to slow down. You'll work yourself to death. Hah! Work yourself to death! Oh, I kill myself!'' as Zeus said that, all the Gods laughed while Hades just rolled his eyes.
''Yes, hilarious. But I just dropped by to give Twinkles her gift.''
Zeus raised his eyebrows in surprise. ''Really?''
Hades nodded and waved his hands, explaining. ''Yeah. One of my hellhounds had a litter of puppies, so bada-bing bada-bum, here you go.'' He extanded his hand in which was now a little black wolf-like puppy.
The puppy's fur was black as midnight and it had bright red eyes. Baby Rhea giggled as the pup jumped clumsily into the crib and layed next to her. Hades claped his hands together and explained. ''His name's Ghost, he'll be there to protect Twinkles at all costs. So I'll be going now. See ya suckers.'' And with a puff, Hades was gone.
A/n: End scene. Also I imagined Bruna Marquezine as Rhea, but you don't have to.
This story takes place after Prince Caspian and the siblings are allowed to stay in Narnia. Hope you guys like it so far.
