So I'm in love with the theme for Honeycomb Highway, because it's just so damn good. Gotta love 'dem Honeycombs. But anyways, I was bored and was listening to this and decided to write this. I hope you enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog. If I did, I certainly wouldn't have done the weird Parkour engine for Lost World.
Honeycombs
"I'll catch Zomom. You guys find another way around." I tell the team of Tails, Eggman, Cubot and Orbot.
Eggman furrowed his brow and glared at me. "I don't have to do anything you say, you nasty little pin cushion."
Tails rolled his eyes. "Sonic, you go on ahead. I'll make sure Eggman and his 'genius' creations don't pull anything."
Eggman simply huffed while Cubot and Orbot looked on in their respective confusion and indifference.
Tails waves at me, and I give him a thumbs up before dashing off into the direction I saw that big yellow oaf take off towards.
As I'm breezing across the sandy dunes of the Desert Ruins Zone, I quickly come across a line of springs.
Knowing what I normally do with springs, I home into it and am soon sent flying through the air and into the calm, open skies of the Lost Hex.
When, I actually start my decent, I actually land in a large green flower which encases me within its petals.
"Hey, what gives?!" I protest.
But I quickly lose my train of thought as I feel the flower reposition itself so that it's tilting in the direction I'm facing. I'm about to further question the flower –as if talking to dead robots wasn't enough- but am quickly cut off as the flower literally spits me out and onto a wooden platform.
Rather than tumbling onto the wood like a certain cherry colored echidna I know, I land feet first and am immediately out in a sprint, running along the platform and into the massive honeycombs.
Once out of the massive honey scented cave, I'm out on wooden platform again and out in the open again.
As if sensing my presence, a whole swarm of buzzer bombers zip alongside me, aiming their blasters in my direction.
"Oh, okay?" I smirk at my pursuers "Bring it on!"
They all lock their cannons on me and with that I begin the chase.
Out of the flower and off to the race,
This Honeycomb Highway is what face.
Eggman's goons giving me chase,
Thinking they can stop me as I make haste!
"Ha!" I laugh as I home into one of the buzzing bees and watching it smash to smithereens. As I land on the ground again, I add. "Think again, losers!"
Tip-tapping along this massive structure.
Jamming out to the imaginary jazzy overture.
Quickstepping as the platforms are fading,
Spindashing as the attacks start changing.
True to my word, I actually do lurch from side to side as to avoid from tumbling back down to the rest of the Lost World.
Would love to stay and enjoy the scenery.
But I've got a job to do and these bees certainly won't stop me.
I really would love to, I can't help take the occasional look around as the fuzzy yellow and brown goes very well with the sky's brilliant blue.
The bumbling oaf finally starts shouting threats.
But few quills in his face is what he's gonna get.
"I'm GONNA MAKE MINCE MEAT OUT OF YOU!" Zomom shouts.
I can't help but chuckle. "Who does this guy think he is?"
I know I'm getting closer to the end.
By the time I'm finished with him, he's gonna wish that he ran away instead.
As I go careening off the edge.
Down to the Zeti will fight me till the end…
I know in my heart that I'll make sure to save the world and my friends.
I land on the massive green face and give the Zeti a smirk before blasting towards him, prepared for battle.
And that was a bit experimental. I've done this sort of half story/half poem thing in a Ben 10 fic once although not in this way. So yeah, I hope you enjoyed this and be sure to leave a review to tell me how I did. Thanks for reading
