I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me

I still feel your touch in my dreams

I watch you sleep, your head resting on my chest moving rythmatically with my breathing. Your blonde hair is damp and matted down to your forehead along with your slightly flushed face, both signs of our previous activity. I love watching you sleep. Every night I watch you for hours until sleep comes and claims me, my dreams filled with you. In sleep your face is always so innocent and peaceful, so different from the mask you always wear. The one you only drop for me. I feel so lucky that I am the only one who gets to see every side of you.

When Chase attacked the Covenant I was terrified at the possibility of loosing you. I was confronted with the thought of living life without you, and it hurt deeply. It hurt so much that I couldn't breathe for a moment. If I had to live without you for the rest of my life I would die. Slowly, from the inside out, enduring the torture of living every day without you. Grieving for you until my last breath, until we would be reuntied in death. Each day I thank the gods that all of us survived Chase's assault.

As I think of how I could of lost you a tear silently falls down my cheek, hitting your beautiful face. I don't notice your awake until your hand reaches up and brushes my tears away. You smile softly up at me, eyes asking why I'm crying. I shake my head, saying nothing. My eyes convey the answer to your silent question. You smile knowingly and sit up, gently connecting your lips with mine in a comforting way. You can always brighten my day no matter how horrible I feel. You take me in your arms and sit there whispering words of comfort in my ears until I fall asleep.

I wake up first, like always. You always end up sleeping in and I tease you for it everyday. You always say the it's because you need your beauty sleep. It always makes me laugh. I watch as your beautiful baby blue eyes flutter open, almost getting lost in them.

"Morning sleeping beauty." I greet smiling. You try to look hurt, but end up smiling brightly at me. You lean up and kiss me, its filled with hunger and lust. I feel my heart soar and in a flash I'm on top of you trailing feather light kisses down your neck. You moan softly with pleasure and I continue my actions, mind clouded by lust. We end up next to each other panting heavily with flushed faces. You look to me and mouth 'I love you'. Those three words mean the world to me, and my eyes shine gratefully as I mouth them back. We will always be together, forever, and I smile widely at the thought.
