Bite Mark

"You!"

Raditz's training was suddenly interrupted as a fist slammed into his back. It sent him flying across the room and into the far wall.

He shook his head to try and clear the dull ache, but before he could look up and start shouting insults at his attacker, a hand grabbed his weighted training shirt and lifted him up, pushing him roughly against the wall again.

Then he got the chance to see exactly who had rudely interrupted his training. It only took a second of looking at Zarbon's face to know that he wasn't happy at all. In fact that would be a severe understatement judging from the furious look in his eyes and the way his mouth was twisted with a snarl.

"What the hell do you call this?" Zarbon took one fist away from the grip on Raditz's shirt to point at a spot on his neck. The green skin being indicated had a small oblong ring of punctures, with a dark bruise formed around it.

Oh shit. So he had left a mark.

Raditz said nothing, not sure whether he was supposed to respond or not.

"What am I supposed to tell Frieza if he asks about this? Which he's very likely to do!"

"So, you'll think of something," Raditz said, trying to adjust himself so that Zarbon's fist wasn't digging into his throat. "You're good with lies."

It was supposed to be a compliment. Saiyans weren't particularly gifted at giving praise.

"You'd better hope that I do," Zarbon's frown darkened. "I haven't been on any assignments lately where anything could possibly result in something like this. Only an idiot would believe that it was some sort of training accident and I certainly can't say that I'm screwing around with one of the Saiyans!"

Raditz took a second to glance over Zarbon's shoulder, hoping that no one else had entered the room. Luckily, it remained empty.

"Pay attention!"

Raditz turned his eyes back to Zarbon. His pride was stinging badly but his survival instincts advised him that it wouldn't be a wise idea to annoy Zarbon even further at this particular moment.

"I'll think of something, but if I do get into any trouble concerning this then I'm going to kill you. The same goes for if you do this again."

"Fine. If you want, I'll bite you where you can easily hide it with your hair next time."

Zarbon's next punch sent Raditz right through the wall, as well as a second one right across the hallway. It didn't do anything to solve Zarbon's dilemma of what excuse to make up but it certainly made him feel better.
