Imma gonna stop being a self pitying bitch and say that this story may be passable. Yay! My first non-gijinka fic! Characters may be OOC

The Full Moon shone in the black-velvet sky, illuminating the dark figure floating just above the ground on New Moon Island. Its electric blue eye was clouded over in thought and it just...hovered there with an air of superior concentration.
A pink-yellow-blue Pokémon appeared from the shadows, violet eyes shining like separate stars.
With a long, raspy sigh, the Pitch-Black Pokémon turned to face her, eye flat with absolutely no emotion. His arm raised slightly, and then lowered, as if gesturing to something vague.
"Yes?"
The other Pokémon floated over hesitantly, as if regretting ever coming over.
"...I was lonely?"
"Cresselia, I, of all Pokémon, know what 'alone' means. You just want to talk, don't you?"
Cresselia looked down, mumbling,
"...I guess."
Looking unblinkingly at her face, he waited.
"..."
"...Well, I am just...curious."
Cresselia nodded slightly and rushed on.
"Yes! I just want to know...erm...why...why you are...like you are?"
The Dark-Type would've blinked if he could of. Cresselia was usually...the opposite of how she was acting now.
"Well...someone has to be the embodiment of nightmares and that kind of shit...like Dialga is the embodiment of Time and Palkia of Space and you of..."
He paused, the word he was thinking of struggling to let itself be spoken.
"...Good dreams and just goodness, I guess."
Cresselia thought deeply about his indifferent response and finally settled on replying with,
"But, do you have to push your powers to the brink of warfare between us? Every year?"
A long pause. Then, a quiet response.
"Yes."
Cresselia stared hard at him, studying his expressionless features.
"Why?"
With a dusty sigh, the Dark Pokémon looked away and said, with a soft voice,
"Because, I guess that's Tradition. We've been Arch Enemies for so long...it just wouldn't seem right to give up that now."
"So...this is a habit?" There was a subtle warning tone in her voice that went completely unnoticed.
"I guess..."
"Creating the worst nightmares is an unbreakable habit?"
"Yes."
"Am I a 'habit' too, Darkrai?"
An extremely long and awkward pause followed filled with Darkrai trying to word his answer politely. Cresselia stared straight ahead with a stiff air surrounding her. After a while, came the quiet and cautious response,
"...No."
"What?" She was genuinely curious at the cold Pokémon's answer.
"No. You're not a habit. You're a necessity. You are light, I am dark. It balances out."
Cresselia turned to face her counterpart, peering closely at him. Darkrai was looking at the sky with intense concentration, his blue eye distant.
"Is that your only reason?"
Darkrai turn to face her sharply, his expression guarded.
"...Maybe."
"Yes or no, Darkrai."
"...OK...no."
Floating just a bit closer, she reached out one of her paws to him.
"The other reason being...?"
He jumped as her paw touched his arm; eye wild, he mumbled a response, and then glared at the ground.
"What was that?"
"...I may tell you later, Cresselia."
"Fine."
With a sigh, Cresselia turned back to the sky, staring at the Full Moon. With a glance out of the corner of her violet eyes to see Darkrai glance up at the moon as well, his eye brighter that the stars.
It amazed her when Darkrai removed her paw from his arm and placed it in his three fingered hand, with as much emotion on his face as a Claydol.
Finished (thank God...)
