For Shannon. Because she complained about no fics whatsoever and because I need to get over myself. I seriously just started writing this fic. I had no clue where it was headed, how it would end, if it would be angsty… It was quite strange. So anyway, let there be fic!
A room. It was occupied by two boys. One had fiery red hair and the other a more subtle blonde- brown color. The brown- blonde haired one had his back turned to the other and he looked upset.
"This just doesn't make sense to me," the brown- blonde haired one, Roxas, said quietly. He sighed and shook his head.
"It doesn't have to. Even though we're Nobodies, we remember what it feels like. Don't you have this knowing of feeling when you look at me?" the fiery haired one, Axel, replied. He tried to grab Roxas's hand but Roxas pulled it away.
"No. I just want to feel. I don't want a knowing. I want to be real again," Roxas said. Axel blinked and closed his eyes.
"You are real. You're real to me," he said. Roxas didn't feel anything when he said that. He just turned around and looked at Axel. Axel looked hurt. But he was a very good actor.
"That's not enough! I want to leave the Organization! And for you to come with me! We could run away and try to figure out how to become whole again," Roxas exclaimed loudly, knocking his fist into the air. He wanted to be angry but he couldn't feel it.
"Roxas… You know I can't do that. The Organization… They'll find us. We'll fade away…"
"Isn't that better than being here though? Being trapped in this body, not feeling anything? Knowing you can't truly love your only one?" Roxas practically yelled. Axel shushed him.
"No. It's not good enough for me. If these feelings are pretend, whatever. I want to hold you, and care for you, and protect you. I just want to be with you and that should be enough" Axel said firmly. Roxas blinked. He wanted to cry, to scream, but he had no reason. He felt nothing.
"It… is enough," Roxas said. He walked to Axel and forced a smile. Axel brought his arms around the smaller Nobody and buried his face into his hair. Roxas clung to Axel and wished they could feel. Just for once, when he was in Axel's arms, he wished he could feel happiness.
Hope it was good enough for everyone. I couldn't bring myself to make it any longer. You should be happy I wrote it in the first place. :
