Cinnamon Kiss

by Schmoo

The kiss was everything she always thought and dreamed it would be. It was fire and deep passion that would burn them both until nothing was left but ash.

She could taste hot cinnamon, rum, and the freshness that was the open water of the ocean. It igniated an answering passion within her that she never felt with Will, it was dangerous, it was freedom, it could comsume her, swallow her whole until she didn't know herself anymore.

Elizabeth knew what she had to do when she sat on the steps clinging to his leg watching him shot the barrels. It was never going to stop and Will had to be saved. He had saved her so many time before and his love was what she knew, it was what made her warm at night, made her feel safe, wanted, and secure to be herself.

She knew what she had to do and chainning Jack to the Pearl's deck was one of the hardest things she ever had to do but needed done. Elizabeth feld before his dark eyes...before she could change her mind. It was the right thing to do, it was save herself and Will. They would be done with it all and could finally get married and back to the life that she wanted with him in Port Royal.

But as she sat in the longboat and looking at the Black Pearl being dragged down by the Kraken she felt her heart shatter. She didn't know it would hurt this much. Jack had lied to them all, to her and Will, more than once. He made her aggravated her more than anyone else in her life. The overwhelming feelings that flowed over her when she saw him back on the Pearl she recognized the love that was there, it was fierce and the kind that skirted the edges of hate, unlike the steady hum of love she felt for Will.
