Home

The doorbell suddenly rang at exactly 3 am, I groggily rose from the comforts of my bed to move towards the door. When I opened it I was surprised to see my girlfriend, Hinata, and I was even more surprised to see that she was holding bags enough to carry clothes that could probably last her a lifetime.

"Naruto-kun…" Then she lifted her head, only to reveal a bruise on her cheek and tear stains all over her face. I tried to figure out what happened, the bags, the bruise and the tears.

Then it hit me.

"Did Hiashi do this to you?" I asked, concern obvious in my voice. She only gave a slight nod.

"Do you want to talk about it?" and once again, I only received a nod. "Okay, you can put your bags in my room." Once she had placed her bags in my room, I brought her out to my car, I was planning to go to the bench where I asked her out on our first date.

On the drive there Hinata was completely silent except for the faint sobs and occasional hiccupping.

We stopped right in front of the bench. I gave her a questioning look, asking her if she wanted to talk about it in the car or outside with physical actions, she shifted herself so she was facing me, the action answering my question.

"What happened?" I quickly asked.

After a few more sobs and sniffs Hinata finally started.

"Well when dad found out that I was dating you…he flared. He told me to pick between staying with you or staying with them and well I picked you." She said. Then Naruto remembered that a portion of the town resented him, people say that he was related to a few criminals and, thus the result. Apparently Hiashi was part of them.

"So he kicked me out, Neji let me stay at his place for a while, but after two days he said I had to go, apparently Dad was making sure that I was not staying at any relatives he knew of."

I couldn't believe what had just happened, I had just broken a family apart, most especially, Hinata's family. I tried to process all the information she had just relayed to me and still, even if I try over and over again, I couldn't understand why she decided to stay with me rather than stay with her family.

"Why me?"

Hinata quickly looked at me, quite confused.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I mean you could have a good life, no financial problems, a great family excluding your father, why'd you leave all that behind? Why'd you go so far for me?"

"Because I love you." She confessed, a blush dusting her cheeks.

I was taken aback by her words, we've been dating for 4 months now but this is the first time I heard those words from anyone. And yes, I really mean anyone.

"W-what?" I stuttered, I couldn't believe her words. Someone loved me.

"I love you, that's why I picked you." She said confidently. Really confident.

"So, how long?" I asked. She gave me a questioning look.

"How long have you been away from your family?" I asked, quite curious.

"Including my stay with Neji, it's been 4 days."

I was shocked.

"So where did you stay for the last 2 days?" I questioned very concerned.

"Well after Neji said I couldn't stay with him I planned on staying on one of the benches at the park but at around Four o'clock Sakura saw me and she offered to let me room with her since she had an extra bed in her room. On the second day she suggested of going to you for she was sure that you would help so…that's what happened."

After that we had a good 5 minutes of comfortable silence, the kind where you wouldn't notice the time passing by.

"So, you ready to go home?" I asked.

"Yes." She said assured.

She was ready to go home.
