Mina Aino walked out to her balcony and looked below into the
gardens. The flowers seemed to shimmer in the golden light. She sighed in
pleasure of the sheer beauty. She turned around and slid open her glass
doors.
"Miss Aino, you have a call!" Sophie, Minako's maid, called from downstairs.
"Thank you, Sophie." Minako called back. She sighed again—did she really need to take the call? 'It's probably just another stupid suitor.' She thought angrily. She wanted to take a walk. But, pretending to be cheerful, she picked up the phone.
"Miss Mina Aino?" a man's voice said.
"This is she."
"We need to talk to you. It's rather important—meet us outside the café near your mansion. Soon."
"And why should I come?" Mina asked, fiddling with her long hair.
"Because if you don't, we'll rip the insides out of your little boyfriend." The voice threatened.
'What the hell is going on?' Mina thought. She dropped her hair—she was beginning to get worried. "How do I know you have my boyfriend?"
"Would you like to hear him scream, Mina?" the voice rose. She could hear Jake say something on the line before there was a soft thunk.
"God, no! What have you done to Jake?" Mina yelled.
"Nothing, yet. Just shut him up. Are you coming or not, Miss Aino?"
"I'm coming. Alamonte Café, 43rd street?"
"Yes." The voice said. "And you'd better be there, Miss Aino, or Jake's gonna call it quits."
"I'm coming." Mina said determinedly. "But if you set one hand on Jake…"
"His death is for you to determine, Miss Aino." The voice said again. "Only you."

This is my first real Mina fic!! Well…on this comp, anyway. Sorta. And I am sorry it's so short so far, but I can't elaborate on this part (you'll see why later)! But, moving on, I know all of you are like, gonna kill me for putting out 3 new fanfics and not finishing "An Offbeat Romance", but, to tell you the truth, I have no clue what's gonna happen next! Tee hee, I have total writers block on that story. So please R&R this and my other stories! If I get enough reviews on "An Offbeat Romance" &/or "A Different Path", I will probably continue them finally!!!
