All she could picture the whole time she was up there was his face. She loved his lips. How badly she wanted to finally kiss those lips… close talking had never been enough. And his hair… all the time and effort he put into it every day showed. She just wanted to run her hands through it.
But her absolute favorite feature of him was his eyes. The soft shade of hazel in them was perfect.
She loved the way they looked when he laughed. They looked very playful then, and she swore the color of them turned a little lighter.
She felt herself get a bit upset herself when those dark pupils turned even darker and they looked like a sunny day, right before it clouds up and begins to rain. She figured out that it was when he was extremely upset. He had a fight with his dad or a particular case made him upset. His eyes were that shade when he found out that Gus was captive in the bank. His eyes were that shade after both cases of the Yin/Yang. His eyes were their darkest when his mom was held at the bomb-point. She could tell when he looked up at her from the car and by the relief that left his face when he got out, button in hand.
She loved his eyes best when he looked at her. His eyes had a special twinkle in them that she never saw unless he was talking to her. (No she wasn't staring at him to check, she was just a detective and noticed things like that. That's what she told herself, anyway) She was surprised about how many conflicting emotions his eyes showed when he looked at her. They were soft and gentle, yet passionate and fierce, yet sad and sweet, yet confused, yet holding back. She could very well tell what each emotion had in relation to her. She had always wanted to give into those eyes, let them know that she cared, but she had always been too scared. It didn't help that he had already turned her down once. (Even though if he hadn't, it probably wouldn't have worked out as well. He couldn't just give up a date for another.)
It was then she decided. If she ever got off this ledge, she would give into those lips. She would give into his glorious hair. But most importantly, she would give into those wonderful, glorious, conflicting eyes.
