The door opened and a stern looking man dressed in a pristine white lab
coat walked in. "Nurse Cartwright will assist you this first week only." He
turned to look at the young woman who had followed him in, "Don't worry,
there will be at least two officers positioned outside your door at all
encounters and at least one in with you." The young woman surveyed her
surroundings coolly. The room they had entered was your typical GP's
examination room – minus the friendly posters telling you to eat apples.
Seeing that the woman was not going to respond, the doctor spoke again,
"Everybody working here, Dr Bertram, is highly qualified and well-
experienced in their chosen fields, however no degree or experience can
prepare you for these creatures. What we are doing here is revolutionary,
if you think you are above the duties assigned to you..."
"I think I'll be quite satisfied here, Dr Martin." The woman interrupted
quietly. Dr Martin turned to her and indicated the computer in the corner;
"Your access pass allows you to view the basic statistics on each of your
patients. I'll leave you to get acquainted." The doctor walked towards the
door, "If anything should go awry, there are seven silent alarms located
around this room, the list is on the wall...not that they would save you." He
turned to challenge her, "Do not under any circumstances interact with your
patients more than necessary, remember even though they resemble us, they
are not human. Do you understand?" Dr Bertram nods as her superior leaves
the room, she takes a deep breath, "I'm beginning to." Her eyes dart
around the room, checking the locations of cameras and audio devices, then
takes her seat in front of the computer. She logs in then flips through
the files.

She continues until one file captures her attention. Her hand falls off
the mouse and she sits expressionless, staring the headshot of the
attractive, blond man.
