The rain splattered down on the lens, making the world above unclear to the one watching the screen. He sighed and brushed his silver hair away. "I guess I better go find him," he said to himself and stood up, heading towards the elevator.

At Namimori Cemetery, Yamamoto Takeshi stood silently in front of the stone that marked a person's eternal resting place. He did not move, ignoring the heavy droplets that fell onto his body, soaking him through. He had always liked the rain, and it helped to calm him somewhat in this situation. Dark eyes flickered over the name engraved on the headstone once more, as if to confirm that it was really his father that was buried here. The rain fell down his face more peacefully now, as if saddened by some sudden discovery. He licked it off his drenched lips. It tasted of salt.

"You'll catch a cold if you stay here," said Gokudera softly as he moved to stand next to the taller teen. There was no response, and the bomber had not expected one. For a while, there was just a anguished silence.

Then, "Are you all right?" The whisper came from Gokudera's lips, barely audible, but Yamamoto heard it loud and clear. He did not respond for a while but then opened his mouth to speak. "I-I guess I'm just shocked that this could happen. He was always with me, by my side and I guess I just kinda took it for granted. When I was talking to him before I got here, I never even thought about how great he was, how he managed to keep me strong after every tragedy, and what life would be like without him," replied the swordsman with a hint of sadness. But then he forced himself to smile slightly, and said, "But I guess everything is like this, and I did kinda know that this day would come. I just didn't think it would be so soon…" The smile disappeared as suddenly as it had come.

Gokudera didn't blame him. He was still mourning the death of his mother, knowing that she would have been so hurt when he thought that she was just some nice lady who played the piano, so sad to know that they could never truly be a family. Though he didn't cry anymore, he still regretted on the inside.

Once again, there was silence. But it seemed both of them couldn't take it anymore. "How about you? It's pelting down pretty hard out here," asked Yamamoto. After a moment's hesitation, Gokudera slipped his hand into the taller boy's, surprising him.

"It doesn't matter," whispered the storm guardian. "I-I'm in love with the rain now, so no matter how hard it strikes, I won't be afraid. Because… I know that it won't hurt me. The rain… loves me as well."

And Yamamoto stood, shocked at Gokudera's suddenness, but he felt happy. He remembered that his father had once told him, "Love is an incomparable feeling, Takeshi. It'll overwhelm you, hurt you, and make you go crazy. But never forget, love will give you a reason. A reason to continue, a reason to smile even after the greatest of tragedies. It will fill your life, your heart and your soul. Treasure it, and never let go of it."

At that time, he had been slightly confused, but now he understood it completely. "This feeling… is love," he thought. Slowly, he bent over and kissed the silver-haired teen, only for a moment, but it felt like an age.

"Yes…" he said, both to himself and to Gokudera. "The rain loves you… I love you, Gokudera."

They stood there for a long time, hand-in-hand, letting the merciful rain wash everything away. No regrets, no sorrow, no grief. They were all lost to the incomparable feeling, the source of reason. The love.

A/N: Well. I think this was a bit cheesy and to soppy-lovey-dovey retardedness, but then that is what love is. As well as mass Gokudera OOC-ness. But that doesn't matter. Reviews are good~
