Brittany and Santana talk about Artie.
"Britt, there's something I wanna talk about" Santana says, pushing their history book aside.
"I mean now that we are… together " Santana paused for a second wondering how to go on. "So remember last year when I told you that I… loved you and stuff?"
Brittany nodded and waited for her to go on.
"Well, you didn't leave Artie. And I know it's been a long time but I still don't really get why wouldn't you. I mean you only started dating him to make me jealous, did you even like him?"
"Well, he was sweet and he made me feel special, you know? I had never had a real boyfriend before I didn't even know how to break up with him. And I couldn't; honey, I told you this before, it didn't feel right."
"Yeah…" Santana murmured with her eyes down.
"But I waited for him to do something wrong and when he did I didn't forgive him. Even though he was totally sweet for singing that song to me" a little smile formed on Brittany's face as she remembered that day.
"When you told me that he had sang a song to you that day I thought you guys would get back together!"
"And most girls would forgive him, I guess but I just, I didn't want that anymore" Brittany shrugged her shoulders.
"Last year was… tough" Santana said, nodding, with a sad expression.
"Yeah, I guess. But I'm really happy now" Brittany said with a big smile, holding Santana's hand.
"Me too" Santana whispered feeling a few tears forming.
"I told you Santana. I don't need us to be shouting to the world that we're together. I just wanted us to admit that we love each other. I love you, Santana." Brittany said looking deep into Santana's eyes.
"I love you too, Britt. So much…"
"Plus, this secret dating thing is super hot" Brittany smirked.
"Absolutely" Santana giggled. "I promise you, B, soon I will be able to tell people about us."
"That's ok, honey, I told you already, take your time."
"I wish I was as brave as you. I really do but I'm so afraid of everything and…"
"Shh" Brittany cut her, placing her finger on Santana's lips "We have time. We have the rest of our lives."
Santana lost it there, she didn't fight the tears anymore. Hearing Brittany say that she wanted to spend the rest of their lives together was so important.
"Don't cry baby."
"I'm just so happy. You make me so happy, Brittany"
A little smile formed on Brittany's lips.
"Come here" the blonde said, pulling Santana in for a passionate kiss. "You and me together, always and forever" she whispered in her girlfriend's ear.
They made love to each other that night. Which was another great part of dating. It wasn't just sex anymore. It include eye contact and whispered "I love you's" and a lot of cuddling.
As the two girls laid snuggled into each other Santana caressed Brittany's cheeks and whispered "I won't ever lose you again. One day, I will marry you Brittany Susan Pierce."
Words said, the brunette fell asleep with the thought of an entire life time spent with the woman she loves. She fell asleep with a smile on her face.
