few walls with this fic, ladies and germs. You know the drill.
Zeus looked at the faces on either side of his throne. "I thank you both for coming," he said.
Hades and Poseidon looked at their youngest brother anxiously. Like they really had a choice. Hermes had awakened them both with news of an emergency meeting called by their brother and whether they wanted to be there or not, they had to see what he wanted.
"What is it now, Zeus?" Hades asked impatiently.
"Well, as I'm sure you're aware, Artemis-" here Zeus smiled at the mention of his favorite daughter, "-has a daughter."
"I don't see how," Poseidon said. "She always kills every man who looks at her."
Zeus scowled and continued talking. ". who gave birth to a baby girl. They both currently reside on the moon. Artemis has mentioned that she and her daughter Serenity was starting a kingdom on the moon. Herein lies my problem."
He sighed deeply and looked at his brothers. "Serenity asked me to select eight soldiers: four to protect the galaxy, and four to protect the Princess. I decided to ask the gods to lend their powers to the soldiers that I have in mind."
"Poseidon," he said, turning to his brother, "if possible, I would like a soldier with the power of water. And Hades, soldiers with dominion over Death and Time would also suit quite nicely."
Poseidon snorted and nodded. But Hades, looking paler than usual, replied, "Death I can handle, Zeus, but Time is another matter entirely! The god of Time died ages ago, remember? You killed him yourself!"
"Then bring Father Cronos back, along with Ouranos; we could use a fighter with the powers of Heaven." Zeus scowled at his brothers. "I will not accept failure from either of you. Now go." Zeus stood and walked out of the throne room, leaving his brothers behind to think on their mission.
************ Notes: Ouranos was the first god; he had dominion over heaven. His son, Cronos god of Time, killed him and took over. Cronos's youngest son, Zeus, killed him and took over.
