I sat on the porch, alone. Leia and Ira had left around an hour ago, leaving me alone, which was how I wanted it to be. I always knew one of us would die first. I always thought it would be me. But as I stand up and walk to bed it doesn't make anything easier.
Vane and I are standing on a balcony overlooking the city, just adults, just married, still young. Everything is perfect. Wind everywhere the city is bright with lights and the stars above us. It's easy to see why people call this the city of lights and the city of love. No one else, no parents no drama, no danger, just us.
I wake up for a moment but let myself Fall back into sleep.
"It's unfortunate that the two of you ended up together." Says Os
"Are you going to say that every time me and Audra hold hands?" Vane asks.
Os doesn't respond, but he continues to scowl.
"The issue is, that Vane could do anything, and you, but you think you're clever." he tells me.
"Well, you'll have to deal with that because Vane and I are together now."
The small town air is fresh. There's less blocking the wind and fewer cars everywhere polluting everything. There's also a lot more trees here than in the desert, which means shade which is nice…
I wake up in the middle of my dream, alone. I look beside me and there's no one there. I stand up and open the window letting warm winds come in. A few westerly's fly in giving the room a sense of peace. I sit back on the bed and let them carry me away.
AN: AUTHOR TWO: YAY! let the sky fall fanfic. lol, there's no section for this so I just put it in misc. Yeah if there OOC please tell me, I will try to fix it. But it's fanfic for Shannon Messenger's let the sky fall. It takes place very far in the future after Vane dies, Ira and Leia are their kids.
