This is my first Fanfic here, and i am open to critiques. This is an OC Fic, featuring my OCs, Veronica Weisz (Daughter of Athena), Devonne Hubsch (Daughter of Aphrodite), and Warren Peace (Son of Ares)
It was a very boring day today. It was as usual, like every other day: I wake up, I bathe, I fix my bed, and then head to my classes. I never thought it would be possible, but Camp Half-Blood is now starting to bore me. I know, shocker, right?
It was time for eating, and thank the gods. I was starving. I woke up late so I had to skip breakfast and go straight to training. On the way there, my stomach kept on growling constantly. "Don't worry, tum-tum," it told my stomach as I put my hand on it. "We're nearly there."
A girl's voice giggled behind me. "'Tum-tum?'" she asked. "Get pregnant, and name it 'Tum-tum'? You're one strike away to becoming a bad soon-to-be mother, Veronica Weisz." I rolled my eyes. I've known Devonne all my life, and I still couldn't get used to her sense of humor. "ha ha," I said sarcastically, as she moved beside me. She looked so upbeat, yet so tired at the same time.
"How was detention today?" I asked her. She moaned. "Horrible! I mean just because I snuck into the kitchen at midnight, they sentence me to six weeks of kitchen duty. I mean I only ate pomegranate seeds till the Harpies caught me!"
Somehow, her story reminded me of a myth, but my stomach growled so loud, I couldn't even hear myself think. I immediately shifted my focus on another subject: FOOD. It's the only way to stop my stomach from growling like a tiger with diarrhoea.
"Heyz," greeted Warren Peace, putting an arm around my neck. Warren was like the big brother I never had, and because of that, I always thanked the gods for always letting me be an only child.
"Hey," me and Devonne replied. Finally, we were in the pavilion. As we made our way through the crowd, we headed for an empty table and sat. Usually I would start a conversation, but since I was starving, I let Devonne start one, as I devoured my burger.
As my hunger lowered down, I soon regretted ever letting Devonne start a conversation. Warren was already filling up the table with drool after Devonne told us what happened at the Aphrodite cabin last night. It also reminded me of regretting convincing Devonne's dad to get cable TV. After watching a whole marathon of Gossip Girl, she always had a notebook and a pen with her, just in case she happens to eavesdrop on something controversial.
After that, Warren headed for Archery. Me and Devonne decided to skip class today. We were just too lazy to shoot arrows.
Instead, we wandered around the forest, saying hi and hello to the satyrs, and nymphs that we come across. This made me realize how many things you could miss when you're working. The smell of the clean wind tickling your nose, the picturesque beauty of nature during the afternoon.
We had to stop by a tree since Devonne felt the urge to pee. I took this time alone to spin around, twirl and let my blonde hair shine under the sunlight. I laughed, and laughed till-
I heard a shriek. I went to find Devonne, and saw her perfectly fine, wide-eyed and completely shocked, but unharmed. "What is it?" I asked her. She didn't speak, instead, she raised her arm and pointed at something.
I looked to the direction she was pointing at, and soon made a shriek myself. It was... a body...
