Zekk covered his face with mud from a river. He tried to tell himself he didn't do it, but he knew he was lying.
But I continue learning, I never meant to do those things to you…Jaina was at the Jedi Academy, wasn't she? If his actions had caused her any pain….

"Jaina…Jaina…" It was the only word his lips could form. "I'm sorry Jaina." A form came through the woods. A human form, female, with the brandy brown hair that characterized the Solo twins.
I'm sorry that I hurt you, its something I must live with everyday…The form came closer. "Zekk?" He realized that the mud covered his face still.
"Jaina."
And all the pain I put you through, I wish that I could take it all away, and be the one who catches all your tears, that's why I need you to hear….
"I'm sorry Jaina." He let his emotions run wild. He wasn't even aware that oceans of tears ran from his eyes, forming canals in the dried mud on his face, staining his prized robe from Brakiss.

"Zekk…" She let loose too. Tears matching Zekk's stained her jumpsuit. She moved forward and put her arms around him.
"Why, Jaina?"

"Because you're my friend, Zekk." Just this simple proclaimation of love brought Shadow Academy's prized student to his knees. Jaina came to his level.

"C'mon, let's get you out of here." She gently wiped at the mud on his face with the sleeve of her faded jumpsuit. She helped him up. He leaned on her as they walked towards the damaged Great Temple.
