Love's Melody

Prologue

"Jacob I said no. I mean it get off of me."

When he continued to move is hands closer to my breast, I knew this wasn't going to end well. I knew I could scream but no one would hear me. Everyone else went home hours ago. Plus I knew that it would just edge him on more.

I was in trouble and no one loved me enough to save me from this never ending torture.

Chapter One

It's been 10 years since I left with my mom leaving Forks and my father behind. When my mom could no longer take that constant clouds and rain she left my father and took me with her to Arizona. But recently got expected into one of the best private music schools in Washington. The music scholarship is what has made me decide to move back to Forks so I can be closer to Seattle for school.

I told him he didn't have to come pick me up at the airport so I'm on my way to my father's house alone. Just when I'm two blocks from what will soon be my new home away from home my car is rear ended by a shiny Volvo. Like my mother has taught me I pull over to the side of the road, preparing myself to hear a guilt trip from the Volvo owner, about how he is sorry and that he is usually an excellent driver. So I'm surprised when the owner of the car steps out and starts yelling at me.

"What the hell is your problem? You nearly got us both killed. I don't know how you got your license but it should be taken away. "

I know I should be angry and should yell back but the man's appearance stops me in my tracks. He is no older than me with god like features. He has piercing green eyes like emeralds that I can just stare into forever. And his hair is a mess, not like he just got out of bed but as if he has been playing with it all day. Oh how I wish I could run my fingers through it.

"Are you stupid? Answer me. How could an idiot like you get a license?"

However his new rant breaks me out of my trance allowing me to answer him.

"Listen hear. I am not stupid and from where I stand you are the one who hit me. You are lucky that I'm not calling the cops to report your bad driving."

"You wouldn't dare."

"I would. I know the majority of the cops here. Seeing as my dad is the chief of police here."

At the mention of my father, he smiled at me making me feel as if I'm missing something.

"Oh I see, so if your dad's the chief, then that makes you Isabella. The towns been awaiting your return. The prodigal child returns. What a shocker."

This boy knowing my name was a shock but his attitude that he knew me just made me madder and made me want to know who he was.

"So...whatever. You know my name so what is yours."

"Like I'm going to tell you so you can run to your daddy and tell him I hit you with my car. No way. I am not that stupid....Oh and I wouldn't keep daddy waiting to long the whole town is waiting to surprise you with a welcome home party."

At that he got back in his car and drove away. I knew my father would throw a party but I didn't know he would invite the whole town. The mystery guy was right. I shouldn't keep them waiting. So I got back in my car and drove the rest of the way home forgetting all about the guy who hit me.
