Haley's POV:
You're on the phone with your girlfriend she's upset…
General's POV:
Nathan is pacing back in forth in his room talking on the phone angrily.
Haley's POV:
…going off about something that you said. She doesn't get your humor like I do. I'm in my room it's typical Tuesday night. I'm listening to the kinda music she doesn't like, and she'll never know your story like I do.
General's POV:
Nathan sits down at his desk and hangs up the phone. Haley grabs a marker and writes something down on piece of paper. She holds it up for him to see "Bad night?" Nathan shakes his head and reply back "Yeah." She secretly smiles to herself then writes back "Sorry." Nathan smiles. Haley grabs another piece of paper and writes "I love you." But Nathan has already closed the blinds.
Haley's POV:
But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts, she's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers, dreaming about the day that when you wake up and find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time.
The Next Day:
General's POV:
Nathan and Haley are walking down the street. "I like your hair today." Nathan says moving a piece behind her ear. "Thanks." Haley blushes.
Haley's POV:
Walk in the streets with you in your worn out jeans, I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be. Laughing on a park bench thinking to myself, hey isn't this easy. You've got a smile that could light up this whole town…
General's POV:
"Hey Nate? Are you okay?" Haley asked fiddling with a thread on her jeans. "I'm fine." Peyton pulls up to the curb that Nathan and Haley are sitting by. "Get in Nate." Peyton says starring at Haley. Nathan looks at Haley, and she hangs her head. "Bye Haley." Nathan says getting in the car. Nathan and Peyton kiss, then drive away.
Haley's POV:
…I haven't seen it in a while since she brought you down. You say your fine, I know you better than that. What ya doing with a girl like that? She wears high heels I wear sneakers. But if you could see that I'm the one who understands you been here all along then you would know you belong with me.
That Night:
General's POV:
Haley is sitting down at her desk reading she looks up and sees Nathan standing in a tux in his room. He flashes her a smiles and writes something down on a notebook, it reads 'You going tonight?' Haley smiles at his thought and reply 'Have to study.' Nathan nods 'Wish you were.' Haley smiles, then watches Nathan leave.
=====Later=====
Haley walks into the dance wearing a silver dress. Everyone is starring. She finds Nathan.
"Wow Hales. You look beautiful." Haley smiles and pulls a small folded piece of paper out of her clutch and shows it to him, it says 'I Love You.' Nathan pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket and shows it to her, it says 'I Love You.' Haley smiles, then Nathan pulls her in and kisses her.
