Hello! This is my first Seddie multi-chapter story! I recently wrote my first one-shot and had really good feedback, so I thought I would give this a crack. I know the characters are a little OOC, but I like to think that as they get older, they get a little wiser.
I know this first chapter is extremely short, but regular chapters will be significantly longer (1k-2k words).
Also! This is rated M, for some slight cursing and graphic descriptions of sex, please do not read if you are under the age of consent in your country/state.
DISCLAIMER: I do not, have not, and will not own iCarly or any of its characters or affiliates.

He was sitting alone at the bar in some cheap pub. He didn't know its name and he didn't care. He only cared about drowning his sorrows in a glass – or seven – of scotch. He wanted nothing more than to forget the day had ever happened.
She entered the pub about 30 minutes later with the same thoughts and the same intentions. She sat down at the bar and motioned to the bartender.
"Single malt scotch. Neat. Leave the bottle."
He almost didn't believe his ears when he heard her voice. It had been so long. His heart had always yearned for her, but with time, he had become used to her absence. He didn't like it, but he had learned to live with it.
Instantly, he could feel his heart thumping faster, and faster still when he looked over and allowed his eyes to confirm that his ears weren't deceiving him. That sitting next to him, looking exactly the same, yet so different, was Sam Puckett.
"Sam?"
She turned towards him, and before he could even comprehend what was happening, her eyes had widened like saucers and she had flown from her seat and wrapped her arms tightly around him. He hugged her back instantly, enraptured by her scent. He breathed in deeply, in case he never got to smell her like this again. It was just like the way she had smelled in high school – soothing lavender – but now, it was slightly masked by the smell of disinfectant and sterility.
After a few moments she pulled back and looked into his eyes. She was grinning widely, and her eyes looked bright, despite the dark bags underneath them. She continued to grin before punching him in the shoulder, just like old times – albeit, it felt somewhat softer than in high school.
"Freddie! What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were in Chicago?"
With her words, reality crashed back down upon Freddie, and the momentary distraction she had provided was obliterated. He remembered why he was back in Seattle and before he could stop them, his eyes had begun to water. He groaned and rubbed his eyes firmly, trying to remove any evidence of the tears that had been waiting to spill.
Without a second thought, she had thrown her arms back around him, before rubbing his back gently. Unlike in high school, she now had no qualms about touching him. Without him around, she had grown to miss him, and thought of him often. How could she go back to her harsh and heartless ways and risk hurting him more than he already was? She had grown up. She had grown to care too much.
They stayed like that for a few minutes before she faintly heard Freddie mumble into her hair.
"My Mom. Her funeral was today."
