I remember the day.

(One Shot)

Mokuba Kaiba sat in his medium sized sandbox. He ran his fingers through the grains of sand and watched sadly as each one slipped through his small fingers.

"I remember the day...the time when Nii-sama played with me...his favorite outside toy was the sandbox...he spent most of his time building masterpiece's out of nothing but sand and I watched in amazment. But anymore he sits in his stuffy office absorbed in his work."

Mokubas eyes gazed up to the bright blue sky, it is so beautiful today. The birds are chirping the sun is shining and a cool breeze blew by every few minutes.

Mokuba shook away his depressing thoughts and began to fill a light blue pale with sand. He wanted to build; create a masterpiece like he had watched his older brother do day after day at the orphanage years ago.

Mokuba looked at his pathetic castle, nothing compared to what his Nii-sama could create.

Mokuba gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes. "I will NEVER be as good as Nii-sama!" Mokuba took the back of his hand and wacked his attempted masterpiece to the ground.

"Now why did you go and do that for?" A familiar voice called from behind.

Mokubas eyes lit up and a small gasp was heard. "NII-SAMA!" Mokuba ran with his arms open wide and leaped into his Nii-samas arms. Seto caught him with ease. "What are you doing here?

"I can't walk into my own backyard to check on my little brother with out being questiond?" Seto surprisingly joked.

Mokuba smiled and wrapped his arms and legs a little tighter around his Nii-samas upper body.

Seto raised an eyebrow. "So what was the fit of anger about?"

Mokuba sighed and looked up into his Nii-samas eyes. "I was just upset...Nii-sama I want to be just like you, but I can't even build a sand castle right!

A amused chuckle came forth and Mokuba raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?"

Seto hoisted Mokuba up a little higher and walked over to a near by blue lawn chair then sat himself down with Mokuba on his lap. "Mokuba that is what you are upset about? Don't be silly, you have plenty of talents.

Mokuba crossed his arms and looked up at his nii-sama with a frown. "Yeah, like what?

"Well for one you are the vice president of Kaiba Corporation, your skills in math are far beyond your years, you draw like I've never seen, you can sing amazingly and you dance well too, I could go on but that would take all day. I'm proud of you kid." Seto ruffled Mokuba's long flowing hair.

Mokuba smiled at that...his nii-sama was proud of him. "But...I can't build things out of sand like you." Mokuba frowned.

Seto shurugged. "And I can't draw as well as you."

Mokuba smiled. His nii-sama always knew just what to say to cheer him up.

Mokuba twiddled his thumbs. "Nii-sama will you build in the sand with me?"

Seto placed his hand on his chin and closed his eyes. "Hmmmm, I suppose I could for a little while."

"Awesome! Thanks nii-sama!"

Mokuba clung to his nii-sama like a monkey on a tree while he carried him over to the sandbox.

With a smile Mokuba scooped up a handful of sand and watched it slowly slip through his fingers. "I remember the day. It's just like old times."
