A Grave Mistake
"Sonic! You can't go alone it's too dangerous! Please just listen to me!", Sally pleaded to the blue hero
"Don't worry Sal, I got this", replied Sonic as he sped off to complete yet another mission by himself. Sally sighs with worry as she returns to knothole, "Why doesn't he listen? He wasn't like this before...Maybe it's just a phase…."
As she contemplates what she should do, a familiar fox approaches her,
"A-aunt Sally?", said the worried young kit.
"Yes Sweetie? What is it?"
"I-is Sonic gonna' be okay?", he replied.
Sally kisses him on the nose, getting a giggle out of him "Of course Honey, Sonic's gonna' be juuuuust fine, now run along and play"
"Thanks Aunt Sally" he says happily before taking off to play. Sally heads into her house and speaks to Nicole, who rests on the table, her trademark vest hanging from the chair that befriends the table.
"Nicole, what is Sonic's current location?"
"Tracking...Quadrant 34, Sector 5, Robotropolis, in motion"
ìBring up visual feeds from that area, follow him with the camerasî seconds after she says this, a holographic visual feed comes out of Nicole, showing Sonic speeding away from patrol units. He is barely escaping as there are several units and they are all firing at him rapidly, missing him by a hair each time.
ìCome oooon Sonic, run!î She says with a worried tone. She can see him struggling and she knows he's aware of his mistake.
-Robotropolis-
"Get off my ass!", Sonic yelled, "Time to go warp 7!" speeding off and out of there sight, he finds the time to catch his breath. "Robuttnik's really cracking down on me! If I don't get the ol' legs kicking', I might not make it!"
-Knothole-
Nicole beeps rapidly "Incoming transmission from Robotropolis, Sally"
"Play it! Quick!"
"Playing…", a hologram shows up displaying a screen like rectangle,
"Hello…Princess", says a dark, raspy, menacing voice from the other end, the screen is black.
Sally gasps in realization "Y-you're not Sonic!"
"That…Is correct my dear princess" said the voice once more, although this time it's holder appears slowly on screen.
"Where's Sonic?!"
"Oh don't you worry Princess, he's just fine…By my standards that is" he lets out a loud, long laugh at his statement and the transmission ends.
