Hi everyone! This is my first time writing a fanfic so please don't judge me too harshly. I am not exactly the best when it comes to writing so I appreciate all constructive criticism but please don't say anything mean. Thank you and enjoy the story!

"Danielle! C'mon! If you don't hurry up we'll miss the train" said

"Coming mum!" I said. "Just give me a second." I finished dying the tips of my hair green just as my younger brother Draco walked into the room.

"Danisaur, mommy said hurry up or else she'll get really really mad. And I mean mommy mad!"

"Ok. Tell her I'm coming Drake." As Draco walked out I checked my outfit out in the mirror. I pulled my denim jacket up over my light blue,frayed crop top and light wash jeans. I quickly ran down the steps to meet my mum.

"There you are Dani! I thought you weren't coming."

"Mum do you really think I would miss the Hogwarts Express?"

"I'm not sure if I should answer that question.

"Cmon lets go! Dobby!"I called.

With a small pop Dobby appeared at my feet with my suitcase and owl. "Here is 's things! Is there anything little miss needs?"

"No thanks Dobby but, thank you. You may go." And with a small pop he was gone. I picked up my suitcase and owl and grabbed my mums hand. "I'm ready mommy!" And with that we apparated to Kings Cross.

"Dani just run through the brick wall. I'll meet you on the other side." She ran through the wall and I followed through right after. When I arrived I went over and found Mum and Draco already waiting for me. "Sweetie I'm sorry that your father couldn't make it but you know he couldn't leave work."

"It's fine. I'll miss you mum. I'll write to you as soon as I can. And I'll miss you Drake! Make sure you write to me. And you'll get to come with me to Hogwarts next year!"I said. "I'm gonna go get in the train so I can try to get a good compartment. Bye I love you!" And with that I walked onto the train. I found an empty compartment so I put all my stuff down and got out Hogwarts:A History. The newest edition.I read it until a plump woman came by with the a cart filled with candy.

"Anything off the trolley dear?" She asked.

"Yes please. I'll take 2 Pumpkin Pasties, 3 Chocolate Frogs, and 1 box of Bertie Botts." I pulled out the money for the candy and gave it to her. After I got the candy I put them into my suitcase for later. I pulled out my guitar and started to play. I sang a few verses to my favorite song, Just The Way You Are.

*knock, knock, knock* A girl with curly brown hair opened the door. She was wearing a black robe with a ravenclaw patch, a Prefect pin hanging on her robe.

"You should change into your black robes already. We're 5 minutes away from Hogsmeade. I'm Andrea Crawford. Are you a first year?" She said in a peppy voice. She sounded like a cheerleader.

"Yup." I said. "And thanks for telling me. I almost forgot."

"No problem! It's my job. Well I'll leave you to change. I hope I see you in Ravenclaw." Andrea turned around and walked out of the compartment, shutting the door behind her. I pulled down the blinds and changed into my robes. They seemed so plain compared to the other outfits I had in my closet. As I finished changing, the train pulled up in Hogsmeade. I pulled on my golden locket and walked out the door and out of the train.
