I still can't believe I wrote something about 'Thriller.'

So, obviously, this has to do with the famous Michael Jackson song. I was listening to the CD (of the same name) the other night, and this came to mind, and was written. It might suck, might be great. I still wrote it.

(This has Riku and Sora as FRIENDS. It could be taken as Riku secretly liking Sora, which is why he'll do anything for the brunet, but friendship was my main thought for this fic.)

The first time Sora turned his well-practised pout on Riku, the silver-haired boy know he was a goner. When the brunet's eyes got huge and watery, and his lower lip caused his upper to practically disappear, he could get Riku to do anything, even if it meant making fools out of them both.

This brings to mind what has been officially (by the rest of their friends) dubbed, "The 'Thriller' Moment."

And of course, while this famous song is really a Halloween hit, the aforementioned Moment took place in the middle of summer. In the city park. On a Saturday afternoon, when the park was at its busiest, and the temperature, its warmest.

Obviously, Riku had not been thrilled, if you'll excuse the pun.

Sora had set the radio to their favorite 80s station, and when the song's intro had begun, the brunet had leapt up, crying, "'Thriller,' Riku!" seemingly thinking that the older boy would have the same level of excitement as Sora himself.

Quite the contrary, however.

Even with the brunet's erratic movements, Riku had stayed right where he sat. He simply eyed the younger boy, a slender, silver brow arching as he smirked at Sora.

"Riku!" Sora whined, trying his hardest to convince his friend to dance. "It's 'Thriller,' come on!"

The song played on in the background, only at the first verse, as Riku gave the brunet a disbelieving look.

"Sora…" the silvery-haired boy began, "It's a hundred degrees out, and you want to dance? Are you insane?"

"But-but…" Sora's face dissolved into the pout, as he plaintively cried, "But it's 'Thriller,' Ri! We always dance 'Thriller!'"

As soon as the pout appeared, Riku had looked away, trying not to get suckered into dancing with the expression's creepy power. His efforts were in vain, though, because he ended up looking back at his friend, and getting a faceful of sad, adorable Sora-pout.

"Gah…" the older boy sighed, sluggishly climbing to his feet. "Fine, fine." He suffered a quick, tight hug from Sora, before the two hurried into position, beginning to dance.

Sora was grinning widely as he danced, compared to Riku's expression, which read, I'm only doing this because I was forced.

But in the end, when the song had finished, and the two boys had collapsed to the ground, Riku was smiling as widely as Sora, reaching out to ruffle the brunet's spikes of hair as he laughed tiredly.

"Just so you know, I'm never doing that again."

"But, Riku! 'Thriller!'"
