Well inspiration struck as I was flicking though Polly/Mal on Deviantart and came across this

wonderful picture. I started to think of what they might be talking about and it just evolved from there.

"I spy... Something beginning with T" Mal said without enthusiasm

"Is it a tree?" Polly asked, throwing a twig.

"It's like your physic" Mal grunted and after a pause said "Your turn"

The rain drummed on in a muggy haze. They were huddled in a tent that wasn't really water proof staring out at swollen river. The bank on the far side was a lot lower so there was no chance of them being flooded out which was a shame. It might have livened things up a bit.

"I spy with my little eye something begin with L"

"Is it a leaf?"

"No"

Mal blinked in surprise "Really?"

"No"

"OK, lichen?" She said glancing around the forest.

"No"

Mal scanned the for rest in grater depth "Umm... Larks?"

"Their not Larks" Polly said tossing a twig into the river.

"What are they?"

Polly looked up at the birds and after a moment said "Common Nightingales"

"How do you know it's common?" Mal said looking at the little birds with the interest of someone who has spent the past two hours looking at trees.

"Reddish tails" Polly said without looking up.

"Oh, what was the L word?"

"Guess" Polly said throwing a small stone into the river.

Mal sighed "I give up"

"It was leaf"

"Cheater"

"How long till the boat picks us up?" Polly asked with out look away from the river.

"Five minuets less than when you last asked" Mal said falling back into the tent with her hands behind her head "I spy with my little eye something beginning T"

"Is it a tent?"

"Wow it's no wonder you're the Sergeant with a mind as sharp as that"

After a long pause Mal let forward and grabbed Polly around the waist and pulled her into the tent. Polly landed with her head on Mals shoulder with her arms still around her waist. Mal raised an eyebrow suggestively.

"I don't think I have ever been less in the mood" Polly said rolling her eyes "Is that all you ever think about?"

"It's your fault!" Mal said defensively.

"How is it my fault you're a lech?" Polly said, bating Mals questing hand away from the inside of her jacket.

"I'm not a lech!" Mal said.

Polly looked down at the hand that had found its way into her jacket despite her best efforts to stop it then back up at Mal with raised eyebrows.

"That's to leching, that's groping" Mal said defensively "Anyway it's still your fault!"

"How?" Polly said batting the hand again.

"You're all beautiful and sexy all the time! I can't help but think about it when I'm with you" Mal said, her hands both hands on a mission now.

"Stop it" Polly said with more force.

"Do you really mean that?" Mal said with her hands on Polly's waist.

"Yes" Polly replied a fraction to quickly.

Mal grinned "liar!" she moved fast and before Polly knew what was happening Mal had kissed her. After an extended pause Mal broke the kiss, still grinning and said "You sure you want me to stop?"

"Your so annoying" Polly said with a small shake of the head and pulled her back into a kiss

As they watched the boat approach Polly said "Your still a lech"

"It's still your fault" Mal said as she shouldered her pack.

Polly rolled her eyes and said "Please, I bet you've been a lech from the day you were old enough to turn your head to look"

"Lies" Mal said as the boat pulled up to the little jetty.

"Of course it is" Polly said with a small smile.
