Just Like That
One-shot

Reader POV (Gender: Masculine)

"You're incredibly handsome." You mumble, trailing your fingers across the stubble on Sam's face. He catches your hand in his, bringing it to his lips.

A smile dances across his face. "Not as handsome as you are."

You grin. "So what are we doing today?"

He shrugs, wrapping his arms around you to pull you closer. "I thought we might just stay in bed today. The world can wait, but I won't make you wait."

"Since we're staying in today... Do you want to watch a movie with me? We can find a cheesy zombie flick on Netflix."

As he flips through the movies you pad barefoot into the kitchen, retrieving a bottle of wine and filling two glasses. He's settled onto the bed when you return, shirt off and a blanket draped of his lap. He opens his arms to you and you snuggle against him. The very fake movie starts off with a bang, fake blood spattering across the screen. Sam kisses your temple, moves down to your cheek and then your shoulder.

You sip your wine and make an mmm sound. After a few minutes, when your wine glasses are empty, you give up on the movie and take to kissing each other instead. His lips are soft but his hands on your neck are coarse and rough from years of hunting. You think the contrast feels nice.

Sam pulls away, cradling your face in the palm of his hand. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

You look down. "What about hunting? And your brother? Your life doesn't have time for me, Sam."

He runs his free hand along your chest, making you shiver. "I would give that life up for good if that's what you wanted. If you needed me, I would trade it all for you."

You lean into his touch. "Just like that?"

"Just like that."
