"Well James, you did set his hair on fire and then turn it green and silver. I believe he's giving you the silent treatment."
"But why? It was a joke, a silly prank. We do this stuff all the time."
"My guess would be that it's because you did it in front of the sixth year girls. He's been trying to impress Mary, and you made him look foolish in front of her and all her friends."
"But it's not like he's never pranked me in front of Lily!"
"Yes, but you laugh it off. This is Padfoot we're talking about. Let him have his drama. He'll get over it in time."
"Fine. But he's still being a baby. You hear that Sirius Black? A baby."
"Sod off Prongs!"
