Uhm.
I have no idea when this came from, since I've never written for the Hunger Games and Glimmer/Marvel in particular.
This was supposed to be 100 words but it came out a little longer, LOL. Anyways, I hope you like it and I implore you, beg you, plead you: review. Let me know if this sucked (which would make me sad) or didn't suck (which would make me happy) :P
All her life passes through her head in about ten seconds when his name is called right after hers.
She's eight and she's running down the streets to get to school on time when she unexpectedly trips. The impact is hard and she's breathless for a second, then she sees a hand - his hand - reaching out to help her and she takes it with a smile.
She's ten and she's sitting all alone on a bench in the park, looking at all the other children play; her best friend is sick and she doesn't know who to play with, so she stands there and finds herself watching a group of five or six kids about her age. She doesn't realize she's been staring until one of the boy looks at her and invites her to play with a movement of his head.
She's twelve and it's the age where she finds all the boys repulsive, even if they don't seem to think the same about her. The always glance at her during lunch and talk about her when she walks through the corridors; her best friend says because she's pretty, but she just scoffs because she finds annoying the fact she could have them so easily. That's probably why she notices him, because he never noticed her.
She's fourteen and she's at a party playing spin the bottle with people she doesn't know, but she doesn't complain because the time when she found boys repulsive is long gone. It's her turn, and the bottle spins, spins, spins until it lands on him, who receives pats on his shoulders from all his friends for his luck. She waits there, a little amused by his embarrassment, as he plants a small but sweet kiss on her lips, that she actually enjoys because it's her first, although she'd never tell anyone.
She's sixteen and she's on the stage in front the Justice Building praying the name that will get called is unknown, but the Odds aren't in her favor that year; with her eyes closed, she listens as they call the one boy she's always had a crush on.
Review.
Because I'm actually president Snow and if you don't I'm gonna kill you painfully (:
