Jason and Ella walked across the field towards the Camp Rock Theater each of them both carrying a haystack. Why? Because it was another one of those Theme Nights. Tonight it was the Showdown Hoedown. In other words…it was another on of those Talent Nights.
"Jason, have you ever wondered why so many people think it's dumb to be who we are?" Ella asked struggling to balance the baby haystack. She decided to ignore the a million hay needles sticking her in her hands.
"Yeah. I don't even know why people think we're so dumb. I actually think me and you are pretty clever and endowed people, it's just that everyone else thinks the opposite."
"Is endowed your big word of the day?" Ella asked knowingly. She looked up to Jason and smiled when she saw him nod proudly.
Ella didn't know a ton, but she did know plenty about Jason Gray. One of them being the fact that he read the Thesaurus and Dictionary almost everyday. Meaning he always made it a goal of his to use one of his new and special "big" words around her. It was like some secret distinctive thing that they had with each other and no one else.
It made Ella feel very special to have something out of the ordinary with Jason Gray.
"So what does endowed mean?" Ella asked making spirit fingers when she said the word endowed. She and Jason sat on a big haystack, one of the four lined up against the sides of the band wagons carrying the Camp Rockers to the Showdown Hoedown. The others in the bandwagon were Mitchie, Caitlyn, Peggy, Shane, Andy, and Nate. Because there was nowhere to put their feet, they all propped their legs up on the haystack in front of them, making it a very squished ride between the eight of them.
"Oh yeah…I forgot to tell you that! It's another word for talented, which you are!" Jason smiled draping his arm around Ella's shoulder.
"Well thank you for the compliment, but I'd say that you are an even more endoweded person yourself," Ella said confusedly. She knew she had said that word all wrong! But she didn't really think he had noticed because he was too busy staring at her in that dreamy manner. And she didn't plan on bringing him back to reality because she didn't mind doing the same herself, even though there were a million hay needles sticking her in the butt. A billion hay needles could be in her butt and she wouldn't mind as long as she got to stare at Jason Gray while it was happening. If she got to be with him during that…it was all good!
