She watched him from the shadows while the moon stayed hidden. Despite his determination to keep himself aloof more than he should from his brothers, Inez had learned to read her handsome hero like a book. Something was bothering him this night. She knew that was why he had not turned in yet for a snooze and had been watching him for a long time, dreaming of him finally opening up to her heart and soul. She knew he never would and her heart ached as she slipped from the shadows and went to him in offer of a game.
