A gift for Kratos:
Lloyd and the rest of the party headed for the forest when Genis suddenly collapsed. Raine picked up her brother and ran him to the inn. The rest of the party followed except for Sheena and Lloyd. Sheena stared at Lloyd as he looked spaced out, in deep thought. Sheena walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Lloyd…you don't have to keep things to yourself. If you want…you can always talk to me." She ran back to the inn allowing Lloyd to have some time alone. Lloyd walked around and he ended up at the entrance to the Torrent Forest.
Deciding wether or not to enter the forest Lloyd stood there. Suddenly his body started to move into the forest. When he entered he saw Kratos standing there. Lloyd looked almost scared, but he knew to move forward. "I see you came. Very well." Lloyd looked at Kratos with a confused look on his face. "I bet after last night you are tired." Lloyd thought about what he did last night. (Hmmmmm…what did I-? Oh Sheena and I-how did he know?) Lloyd thought to himself.
"How did you know where I was?"
"I was behind the tree as you were talking with Sheena."
"So you heard everything?"
"Indeed. You wish you never met me. I do not feel the same."
Lloyd felt like an idiot more than ever. Not only did he say we wished he never met his parents, he said it in front of his father. Lloyd lowered his head in shame.
"Lloyd, I see what you were saying. If you never met me…then you would never have to fight me. But you cant dwell on the past. Live in the present. Never forget…your mother gave her life to save yours." Kratos said with a gloomy look on his face. Lloyd re-played what he said over and over again in his mind.
"Kra-Dad? Thanks. I've been thinking for a long time about wether or not to fight you. I decided to fight you, not as an enemy, but as your son."
Kratos looked at his son. He looked just like Anna. (Anna…if only we could have grown close together as a family…none of this would have happened. Please forgive me…whatever the outcome is. I do not know what this battle may hold. So Anna, please help our son…help him to grow strong and wise just like you.) Lloyd walked up to Kratos and held something in his hand.
"I want you to have this. I made it for someone…but I think you should have it. I'm going to check on Genis. Bye Dad!" Lloyd said as he ran to the exit. Kratos looked in his hand and saw something. It was a locket that Lloyd made. When Kratos opened it he saw a picture that Lloyd drew of his mother, father, and him when he was little. Kratos smiled and put it around his neck along with the locket Anna had given him. He walked to Origin's seal and sat down waiting for his son to come for the battle, and the battle to save the world.
