The question asked in order

To save her life or take it

The answer 'No' to avoid death

The answer 'Yes' to make it, make it.

Sena stood on the cliff, looking at the sword embedded deeply into the dusty ground. She remembered her days in SOLDIER fairly well, though through even the best memories Zack's was the one that shone.

She would have taken his place... But they killed him for believing that Shinra was wrong.

'Do you believe in God'? written on the bullet

Say "Yes" to pull the trigger

'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet

And Cassie pulled the trigger.

Killing someone for what they believed in... the thought sickened Sena. Zack had fought here, died here, and his belief that Shinra was wrong still lingered in the dusty air.

Sena had always been too afraid to take a stand for her faith, in religion, in what was wrong and right, in everything. Shinra killed people who defied them.

All heads are bowed in silence,

to remember her last sentence, she answered him

knowing what would happen

Her last words still hanging in the air, in the air.

Sena heard the rumbling of a motorcycle and she turned to see Cloud pulling up into the clearing. He gazed at her for a moment, before getting off the bike smoothly and coming to stand next to her.

There was a comfortable silence between them, until Sena spoke.

"They killed him for proving them wrong," she said.

Cloud looked at her, pain evident in his eyes. Sena and Cloud both understood each other, and felt each other's pain. They had met each other a long time ago when Sena was in SOLDIER.

Sena fought against the tears that were threatening to spill.

'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet

Say "Yes" to pull the trigger

'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet

And Cassie pulled the trigger.

How many will die?

I will die, I, I , I will say, "Yes"!

Sena lost her strength when Cloud pulled her against his chest, and sobs racked the woman's body. Silent tears fell from Cloud's eyes as Sena held onto him tightly, and he did the same. Normally, Cloud would have been distant and emotionless, but Sena shared his pain, and her emotions drew his own to the surface.

'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet

Say "Yes" to pull the trigger

'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet

And Cassie pulled the trigger.

Sena and Cloud held each other for what seemed like a long time, and Sena now cried silently in Cloud's arms. He comforted her what little he could, but that was hard when he needed to be comforted himself.

Do you believe in God?

Sena seemed to realize this and wrapped her arms tightly around Cloud and she kissed his neck softly. Cloud sighed softly, glad for the slight gesture.

Do you believe in God?

Sena no longer cried, and Cloud was slightly relieved. The two stood there, embracing each other in a comfortable silence.

Do you believe in God?

It was amazing how Cloud and Sena were drawn together by their emotions, but the fact still stood;

Shinra killed people because of what they believed in.

And I will pull the trigger...

Fin!

I thought that this little ficlet was really sad. I almost cried when I reached the end of my little story. In case you didn't notice, this was about people's beliefs. Zack believed that Shinra was wrong with what they did, and so they killed him for acting out what he believed in.

The song was about religion, but the concept is still the same. Don't hate other people for what they believe in, but rather accept them because they have the courage to believe.

Song is Cassie- by Flyleaf.
