Amy, Shadow and Silver were standing on the edge of the pool with deep looks of concentration. A hush fell over the crowd as their music started and suddenly they each did perfect swan dives in the clear, blue water. Starting with a simple backstroke they swam circles around the pool before treading in place and moving their arms. Up, down all around each step of their dance was in perfect sync. Hands rose to the sky they spun as they submerged themselves and raised only their legs above the water so that they could do a reprise of their earlier move.
Swimming in more circles beneath the water, they built up speed before seemingly flying out of the water, of course not forgetting to pose for the camera. Amy and Silver landed hand in hand with their bodies outstretched and activating his special shoes, Shadow skated along the surface of the water. Around and around them he went and his momentum forced the water to move as he desired. The music started to pick up speed as Shadow formed a tornado in the water while launching his teammates into the air, it was time for the finale.
"Whoa" the crowd was not expecting such a bold move.
Once they were high above the stadium Amy used Silver as a spring board to simultaneously send him back down and her even further into the air. At the peak of her ascent she, like and expert diver, started spinning vertically, horizontally and even diagonally in her descent.
"Ooh!" the crowd cheered at her skill.
Down below Silver and Shadow were both now skating in the tornado which glowed a cyan blue from Silver's telekinesis. With every leap and jump they kicked up a storm of water droplets catching the sunlight to sparkle like diamonds before they fell. Steadily they made their way to the top while Amy fell towards them and right at the moment of impact a pink light obscured the audience's view. When it faded the audience gave a huge standing ovation. Silver was on the left and Shadow was on the right, arms out stretched, while Amy balanced on her Piko Piko hammer held in between them.
"Its official!", the over excited announcer's voice boomed across the stadium," with their amazing performance Team Waterhogs have achieved a perfect score and are once again defending champions of the 7th Emerald Gentleman and Girls Mix Amazement Nationals!"
"Go Sonic you can do!" Tails encouraged his brother.
"I'm not going to make it", Sonic struggled to say over the water. Sonic decked out in a life jacket and all the floaties he could get kicked pathetically in their blow up kiddie pool.
"Your almost there, remember what you came here for and go for the gold!"
Sonic stopped his attempt at swimming and his eyes narrowed in determination. Ahead of him was his golden prize, a chili dog...," With mustard!" he yelled and revitalized his efforts.
