"Maybe we should move closer towards the fire. At least we'll stay warm for alittle." Childs calmly suggests as he sips the bottle. He looks at his fellow comrade Macready, who shivers, vapor shooting out as he takes deep breaths, frost on his beard. Macready smiles and jokingly asked him "What's wrong childs? Too cold for you"

"No I just think it's stupid to just sit here and freeze to death." Childs said with a vacant look on his face.

Childs offers the man some drink. Macready can only nod his head. "Not thirsty?" They men lock eyes as they both take a sigh. "So what happened to Blair? You never told me."

"He ain't here ain't he? What does that tell you?"

"Macready..."He stares dead in his eyes. "Tell me what happened?"

"It's was Blair. It was always him, the blood, the dogs, and strange noises, all from Blair. I..I blew up." He you managed to say as he freezes in below temperature weather."

"I'm going closer to that fire before it dies out." Childs gets up walking towards the dimming heat. He turns his head towards a stiff Macready. "You coming?"

"I'll catch up. I'm just sitting here."

"Enjoy that plan Macready. I can't give up just yet. The fire looks like it'll last another hour maybe two. Hurry up I ain't carrying your ass."

As Macready stands up he holds his chest. Childs immediately points his flamethrower at him.

"Take it easy. I'm just huddling myself up. There's no fucking point in this when the fire dies we'll just freeze to death."

"I can always keep you warm." Childs smirks and continues to point the flamethrower as partner.

"Fuck off." He barks and he falls to his knees. Child's offers his hand to help his partner up but is swatted away. "I'll manage."

"What's the matter still don't trust me?" Childs asked

"I don't know. If you were one you would have killed me already." Macready voice deepens as he stands on his own. The fire is a comfortable but uneasy feeling for both men.

Child's gingerly reaches his hands out towards the fire"Look after a awhile from not hearing from us or the Norwegians they got to send help. The only problem I got right now is not knowing if the thing is dead or not."

Macready coughs while holding his throat in pain. He too reaches out to the burning camp"It's dead. I killed the son of a bitch." He confidently growls. He takes a few steps back. "I know you're lying about Blair." Macready softly said.

Child's sips the bottle"And how do you know that?"he asked.

"Blair was always underground." Macready pulls out a flamethrower he was hiding and points towards childs. "And a man wouldn't get that close to a fire with gasoline let alone drink it."

Both men share a quick laugh as Macready ignites the thing. the alien shrieks as it burns. the smell almost makes him sick. As his final comrade gets crispy, Macready collapses by the burning camp as he stares at the sky and shuts his eyes.
