The Going Merry was on her journey away from Arabasta, she was tired from the fights that had been forced upon her by the marines and her own crew. Said crew weren't doing so well themselves, jaded from the conspiracy, they were ready to embark on some smaller adventures.

Luffy sat in his special spot at the front of the ship in his usual cross-legged fashion. As he looked out onto the dark sea, shimmering under the moonlight, he wondered how his nakama were doing. this pondering eventually led to thoughts about a certain bushido that had given him some weird feelings recenty; like butterfly feelings in his stomach.

He thought about why when he was around the marimo, he would get warm and go red in the face. Surely this was only happening because they were in a desert country? If so, why was it continuing?

Luffy jumped to his feet and flopped onto the deck, he was hungry and thought it only suitable to go to the kitchen for some meat.

Creaking open the door, he peered in and searched the room for boobie traps. All clear! He strode in with a wide grin on his face, but… It soon faded. He didn't see the swordsman in the dark, only until he reached the fridge and found him leaning against the door of it; sleeping noiselessly.

Shit! How could he get food now?! Sanji, probably made a deal with Zoro, to guard the fridge from snack thieves until he had stocked up on more over sized mouse traps.

Luffy could feel his stomach churning from hunger and the sleeping butterflies began to flutter once again. "Screw it!" He thought, putting a hand out to shove Zoro out-of-the-way "food is food, and I'm hungry!". Just as he was about to grab Zoro's shoulder, a hand shot out and grabbed luffy's wrist.

There was silence… Luffy opened one eye after shutting both from the shock of what just happened. From what he could tell, Zoro was still asleep, even though he had gripped Luffy's hand. "Baka…" Luffy whispered between gritted teeth. Zoro must be in a sleep walking kind of state, he thought to himself.

Thinking he could simply wrench his wrist free Luffy shook his arm vigorously, in doing so this caused the sleeping warrior to pull him close, making Luffy stumble over onto him, so his back was against zoro's chest. He froze, not wanting to wake him up (though, after all that had happened so far he found it quit unlikely) he attempted to scoot out from between zoro's legs. This failed.

Bemused as to how Zoro was doing all this even while sleeping, Luffy was pulled back, Zoro's arms now softly clamped around his belly and chest, he was trapped. Now in a sitting down spooning position Luffy burnt his brain thinking of an escape plan. But now feeling the warmth of Zoro, and his cushion like pecs and arm muscles, Luffy started to feel comfortable and maybe… Kinda… Like he liked what was happening!

A yawn climbed out of luffy's mouth, he was getting tired and couldn't deny it any longer. His vision fading, he closed his eyes and almost instantly, fell asleep.
