Restless Dreams

He was in some dimly lit place. Although the place was unknown, that didn't worry him at all. On the contrary, he felt at ease. A brighter spot, right in front of him drew his attention. A female figure could be seen in a spot of soft light. He slowly approached and saw clearly that it was indeed a girl. The girl was dancing slowly and sensually. She was beautiful. Her lithe body, covered in a thin blue dress, was twisting tantalizingly, in time with music he couldn't quite make out. She was turned with her back towards him, a cascade of brown silky hair covering her shoulders and back, and preventing him from seeing the girl's face. He was unable to take his eyes from her; the movements of her body were hypnotizing. Slowly, as if pulled by an unseen force, he unconsciously moved towards the girl and put his hand on her shoulder, making her turn with her face to him. When he recognized the brilliant smile and the high cheekbones, his eyes his eyes widened in surprise.

"Tori?"

Beck woke up startled and disoriented. He checked that he was indeed in his RV, and the blaring alarm clock informed him that it was time to get up for school. Then the memory of the dream he just had hit him and Beck bolted out of the bed. 'What the chiz was that!' he thought, 'Why am I having that kind of dream about Tori?'

He never had these kinds of dreams before. Well, okay may be once he had dreamt of Katy Perry, but that was only because Jade was out of town for a month. Beck took a deep breath, exhaled and allowed his usual cool demeanor to prevail 'It is just a dream; a way for the brain to work through the day's events. Yes, that was all there is to it.'

With that he readied himself for school, and just as he was about to leave the RV, came a text from Jade. "Don't 4get Coffee" Beck smiled, every day before driving by to pick her up, Jade reminded him to buy her a cup of coffee. Jade's parents didn't allow her to drink coffee in the house, so she had to get her morning fix outside. He bought the coffee before picking Jade up, that way if the barista was female and decided to flirt, he didn't have to hear Jade complain about it all morning. And greeting Jade with a cup of coffee always got Beck a kiss, which he enjoyed immensely. Here she was, waiting outside her house, grumpy and beautiful.

"Coffee!" Jade grabbed the coffee cup and took a big gulp.

"Good morning to you too, my ray of sunshine" before he could continue with the tease she shut him up with a kiss.

"Now drive!"

"Okay, okay, what's the hurry?"

"There will be tryouts for a new play, and I'll be damned if I let Vega take MY leading role."

Beck was about to calm Jade down before she worked herself into frenzy, when the memory of tonight dream flashed back into his mind. 'Tori, how am I going to look her in the eyes? If the circumstances where different I could tell her and we'd have a laugh, but Jade will throw a fit and revenge herself on Tori. So Oliver, get a grip. It is just one silly dream.' With that they reached Hollywood Arts, he parked the car, and with an arm around Jade's shoulder headed into the building.
