Lee always knew Gaara was anti-social, but he had taken it to a whole new level. A few days ago, the pair was invited to the wedding of Naruto Uzamaki and Hinata Hyuga. It seemed as if it was the perfect way to introduce Gaara to all of his ninja friends. Gaara was wearing a white, button up with beige dress pants, and a red tie to compliment his fiery red hair. But with the fiery red hair Lee adored, came Gaara's fiery attitude. "We didn't have to go!" Gaara whined as he stomped lazily behind the older male. After days of arguing, Gaara decided it would be best to accompany Lee to the wedding, but that didn't mean he was going to enjoy it.

Lee had taken enough, "Gaara, I brought you to have a good time, to show all my friends how lucky I am to have you. As of now, I don't feel so lucky." Lee inhaled sharply, knowing he had damaged the shorter man's feelings. They both stepped into the venue's elevator, silence filled the small cart as it lifted them slowly to their destination. The lights began to flicker and the machine came to a harsh halt. The two were stuck together in the darkness of the elevator, "Gaara! Are you okay?" Lee gasped. Gaara remained silent. Lee grasped for the redhead's hand, desperately trying to reassure himself that Gaara had not been hurt. Gaara had pulled his hand from beneath Lee's without a word being said. Lee sighed, it felt as if hours had passed and the love of his life was angry with him. He could bare the sickly peace no longer.

"Gaara you cannot stay mad forever." Lee claimed, "Remember when we first met? How are hands touched the same piece of fruit and your face glowed to a deep shade of red." Lee chuckled, placing his hand on Gaara's thigh. "And the first time we moved in together, that's the day our lives truly began. We adopted that silly dog that's waiting for us back home." The smile on Lee's face was evident, Gaara sighed. He remembered why he loves Lee so much, no matter how bad things were, Lee was always positive. He brought out the best in Gaara. "Lee, I missed you." Gaara finally broke his vow of silence. "I never left silly, I've been here the whole time." The couple's hands collided and were firmly clasped. The elevator shook. Movement began once again as the lights dimmed. The doors slid open to the fifth floor, "Are you ready?" Gaara asked. "Only if you would make me the luckiest man alive by accompanying me?" Lee bowed, holding out his hand. The two walked into the large reception and it's safe to say; Naruto and Hinata weren't the only couple who were christening their love that night.
