I made this for the prompt of Makkachin x Vicchan by PanoramaGirl. Since I'm too lazy to make a long oneshot, I made short chapters instead.
Chapter 1
[Wonderland]
He knew it.
What a pathetic way to die. But he just can't help it, those steamed buns looked very tasty! And it was really stupid to die just simply by choking a steamed bun! No wonder his master or Yuuri always cut the food into small portions before they feed to him. And plus, it was definetely some sort of punishment for him for stealing an offering to dead. And now that he had died, he will meet Vicchan and apologize to him for stealing his buns!
However, there's something that worrying him.
His master. And Yuuri.
If he die, his master will be sad and Yuuri will be sad. And when Yuuri become sad, his master will become even sadder. But everything was too late. He can never redo everything, because he had already died like a dog. Oh wait, he's a dog. He can only hope for the best for both of them.
Deep in his heart, he knew that he will someday leave this world, but not with this pathetic way. That was really not cool. If he wanted to die, he will want both Viktor and Yuuri, with their child or children by his side. Eh? Can they have any? Okay, that's really. Not. Cool.
He wonder how Yuuri was doing. He hoped that Yuuri will win. After all, they have to leave him in such a far country to compete in a big tournament. Isn't that sad when they return, only to find that he's no longer here? It was then Makkachin found himself in a dark abyss, before finding himself in a fancy room.
The room was awesome! If Makkachin needed to describe it, it looked just like Alice in Wonderland storybook that his master used to read for him when he was younger, though he can hardly find any reason to read a storybook for a dog like him. Well, his master was lonely that time after all. But since his master read it almost every night, he can never get himself to forget about it even if he wanted to. And oh hey, was that his plushie?
Makkachin started to get excited and immediately rushed to the plushie. He jumped onto the plushie before excitedly bit and twisted the poor plushie around. His dog instinct refused to ignore such fun toy! It looked just like a tissue box that shaped just like him that his master had and brought along everywhered they went. He wished that he can follow his master and Yuuri everywhere but it's impossible for a pet to be allowed into tournament. One more regret was added into Makkachin's list now. Sigh...
"Geez...that attitude was the reason why you died."
