Wind blowin' on my face

Sidewalk flyin' beneath my bike

A five year-old's first taste

Of what freedom's really

like He was runnin' right beside me

His hand holdin' on the seat

I took a deep breath and hollered As I headed for the street

You can let go now, Daddy

You can let go

Oh, I think I'm ready To do this on my own

It's still a little bit scary

But I want you to know I'll be okay now, Daddy

You can let go

As five year old Tracy Turnblad was riding her bike down the street of Baltimore, her daddy, Wilbur, was holing onto the seat.

"You can let go now Daddy!" Tracy hollared excitedly to her father.

"Are you sure Sweetie?" he asked double checking.

"Yes, I'm ready."

As he let go he watched her ride down the street.

I was standin' at the altar Between the two loves

of my life To one I've been a daughter

To one I soon would be a wife

When the preacher asked, 'Who gives this woman?'

Daddy's eyes filled up with tears

He kept holdin' tightly to my arm

'Til I whispered in his ear

Wilbur walked his precious little Tracy down the aisle to the love of her life and his soon to be son-in-law, Link Larkin.

When they reached the alter Tracy whispered to him, "I love you Daddy, You can let go now."

When he placed Tracy's hand in Links his eyes filled up with tears as he whispered to him, "Take good care of her son."

"I will sir," Link replied. He then gazed into his beautiful wifes eyes.

You can let go now, Daddy

You can let go

Oh, I think I'm ready To do this on my own

It still feels a little bit scary

But I want you to know I'll be okay now, Daddy

You can let go

As Wilbur listened to the vows be exchanged he knew he wouldn't be the only man in Tracy's life anymore, but he was glad that she was happy.

It was killin' me to see The strongest man I ever knew

Wastin' away to nothin' In that hospital room

'You know he's only hangin' on for you'

That's what the night nurse said

My voice and heart were breakin'

As I crawled up in his bed, and said

You can let go now, Daddy

You can let go

Your little girl is ready To do this on my own

It's gonna be a little bit scary

But I want you to know

I'll be okay now, Daddy

You can let go

You can let go

As Tracy walked into her Daddy's hospital room with her husband of five years she saw him barley hanging on to his life.

Link walked out of the room and let her be alone with her dad for a few minuets.

Tracy sat beside her dad holdong his hand.

"You can let go now Daddy," She whispered holding back tears, "I'll be ok, and so will Momma. I'll make it through this and I'll be strong, just like when I was five."

When she finished talking to him the line on the moniter made a loud beep and the line went flat. The nurses came in so Tracy stepped out for a minuet. She quietly walked over to Link.

"He's gone Link," She couldn't hold it in anymore, she sobbed into Link chest while he shed a few tears himself.

"It'll be ok Doll, we'll make it through this," Link whispered. He new that they would over come this together.
