The Lupin's country home was alight with laughter, children dashed from the living room, through kitchen and out the back door.

"Lyall and Hope. Get back here" Teddy Lupin beckoned his twins back into the house. They slowly assembled in front him.

"Yes father?" the young girl of seven asked him. She cocked her head causing her bubble gum pink pigtails to swing, she looked at him with innocent teal eyes. Her brother was studying his shoes, the part in his black and white hair was very pronounced as Teddy looked down on it.

"What have I told you about running in the house?" He asked and waited for answer. Both kids pointed at the others and giggled. "This is not funny, you could trip and hurt yourself" he said seriously. His own pale blue hair turned a dark shade of grey and he scolded them. They knew he was serious when he could no longer maintain his metamorphmagus-form.

"Sorry Daddy" The boy stand looking up, pale pink eyes. Teddy looked at them more closely, guilt danced over their small faces and they glanced at each other.

"They are switched, Teddy" His wife, Victoire told him with a glance at her kids. The twins giggled and slowly transformed back into the opposite child.

"We always forget the eyes" Lyall told his sister in defeat. Teddy sighed. "Scram!" He smiled and he shooed the kids from the room.

"Want to mess with Mr Jenkins?" Hope referred to their elderly muggle neighbour.

"Yeah" He agreed with a wicked little grin on his lips.

A/N: I was going to make this a much longer story, with snapshots of other important times in their lives but I ran out of time. Please Review!
