If I started my story with "once upon a time" you would think it is a fairytale... Then I would be starting with a lie. My life is no fairytale. Well right now it isn't.
I lean against a concrete wall, heavy breaths escaping my lungs. I clench the gun in my hands tightly making my knuckles turn white. I blink back tears that tried to force their way into my eyes, and quickly check my surroundings. I stand in a dark concrete hallway with only one small light on the wall, that casts strange shadows around me. After standing there for a few moments, just to be sure no one was following me, I sprint down the hallway to a boiler room. After closing the heavy door, I run to the darkest corner and crouch down as low as I can. I relax and sit down completely with my back against the cold wall, and my head slowly propsagainst the wall.
How could I be so stupid?
I mean, it isn't my fault I am this way in the first place!
Bam!
My whole body jumps and then my heart body tenses. The boiler room door had slammed open and I could hear heavy footsteps enter the room then the door closes. My body is buzzing with both adrenaline and fear. I almost don't want to breath for fear of discovery.
"I know your here, Silver." says a deep voice. I hear more foot steps then silence.
He can't find me. He can't.
I try to sink lower in the corner, to somehow make myself smaller.
"You don't know how long I have been waiting, hoping to have a chance to get you alone. Just so I could get you out of the way. Just so I could be the first."
He's jealous! That's why he is trying to kill me! I slip under a boiler and lay there.
Silence... Nothing at all.
After a few moments, I slip my head out and gaze into the darkness.
Nothing...
Without a moments hesitation I slip out from under the boiler and run to the door. I still held my gun tightly in my right hand, as I grabbed the door handle with my left.
"Don't move." the voice says behind me. I feel a cold circle on the back of my head, and my heart almost stops.
"Drop the gun."
I drop my gun. "Turn." I slowly turn around till the gun is against my forehead.
"Kneel."
I obey bitterly. I glare at the "boy" before me.
"You know... I never thought such a small girl could humiliate me like you have."
" It isn't that hard." I answer sarcasticly.
"You have a really free mouth for someone who has a gun pointed at her head." He smiles evilly.
He's right. I should think before I talk. He is the one who will decide if I live or die.
"Say your prayers, Silver. They will be your last."
I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
How could it get here? How can this be my end? The end of all I know?
Tears slip from my eyes.
I want to go home.
"Good bye, Silver.
I hear the click of the boys finger on the trigger.
I love you, Dad.
