Jaden woke with a start panting, sweat dripping down his face, as his body shook a little. The covers shifted beside him as Jesse sat up and looked over at Jaden.
"You alright?" He asked concerned about him. While Jaden hadn't actually said anything to him, he knew he had been having nightmares. He often heard him mumbling in his sleep and would toss and turn.
"It's nothing Jesse, I'm fine." He lied, looking away from him.
Jesse sighed "Now come on Jay you and me both know that's a lie, now come one tell me whats wrong." He put an arm around him and gently rubbed his shoulder. A small cat like creature appeared and curled up on Jaden's lap, while a a brown fuzzy creature with small wings placed it's front paws on his knee and looked up at him with big round eyes. "Kurii."
Jesse gave a small smile "See, even Ruby and Kuriboh want to help."
Jaden sighed, resting his head on Jess's shoulder "It's Yubel, I dreamed she took all of you again, for good this time. There was nothing I could do..I just felt so helpless. It was all my fault you were taken away before."
Jesse lifted his chin up "You know it wasn't your fault Jay, it was Yubel's and besides she's gone remember, so she won't be harming you or any of our friends." He smiled "I know it's hard but you gotta keep moving forward and forget the past." He gave him light kiss on the nose. He hated to see his usually chipper and up beat friend looking down. Very few things actually got to him most things he was able to laugh off, but the loss of his friends had hit him hard,and even though much time had passed since then Jaden still blamed himself for what happened.
Jaden managed to smile back, his friends had told him time and time again how it wasn't his fault for what happened and it was all because of Yubel, but he still felt responsible for what happened and couldn't forgive himself.
"Kurii, Kurri." Kuriboh floated and nuzzled the side of his face. He had calmed down now his breathing evening out and the small amount of shaking had stopped.
"Now come one Jay cheer up." He grinned, putting both his hands under Jaden's arms and tickling him.
Jaden could never stay down for long when he was around Jesse, he knew exactly how to make him smile. He burst out laughing when he felt Jesse's finger quickly but lightly tick touch his sides as tickled him "Ah, C-come on s..stop, that tickles." He said through fits of laughter.
Ruby darted of Jaden's lap and around the bed before vanishing, Kuriboh disappeared as well. Jesse's grin grew wider, that was the Jaden he knew and loved. He pulled him close and hugged him, "Don't ever forget Jay I'm always here if you need to talk." He told him kissing his forehead.
