Karkat sighed. He hoped Sollux was okay. It was bad enough he had to worry about Gamzee since he disappeared. And now this! He got up from his chair and left for his friend's hive.

Karkat didn't bother knocking, he just went in. If Sollux was coding again he wouldn't answer the door so that would be a waste of time. Karkat stormed up to Sollux's respite block to cuss him out. When he opened the door, Sollux was balled up on the floor under at least five blankets.
"Sollux, what the fuck are you doing on the floor?" Karkat asked. Sollux looked up at him with those heterochromatic eyes that always caught Karkat off gaurd.
"Hey KK." Sollux spoke weakly. "I'm jutht not feeling well."
"Well laying on the floor wont help much. And why haven't you been answering?!"
"Thorry... I've been thleeping."
Karkat rubbed his temples. "I'll go make you soup. It'll help you get better." he said before heading to Sollux's nutrition block.
Sollux pulled his blankets tighter around him for warmth. He was happy Karkat was so concerned about him. He doubted any of the others were even the slightest bit worried for him. Of course just Karkat's presence made him feel I bit better. He just felt safe around his little flush crush. Sollux suddenly smelled smoke. Then he remembered... Karkat cant cook for nothing! Despite being sick and freezing cold, he bolted out.
Karkat had no idea what happened. He was just boiling water and it caught on fire! So naturally, he threw water on the fire to put it out. But for some strange reason, the fire just got worse. "KK what the fuck?!" Sollux shouted. He pulled out the lid for the pot and quickly put it on the pan, extinguishing the flames.
"I could've handled it you know!"
"Really lookth it!"
"Besides, you should be in bed if you're sick. Running around like a hoofbeast won't help any." Karkat said as calm as he could.
"Well it doethn't help when you almotht burn down my nutrition block."
Karkat sighed. "Lets just get you some canned soup then you can go to sleep."
Sollux shook his head. "I'm not hungry. But thleep thoundth promithing." Sollux scowled at his lisp.
Karkat nodded and grabbed Sollux's arm gently. "Come on then. The more rest you get, the sooner you get better." he started pulling Sollux back to his respite block.
Sollux smiled down at Karkat as he pulled him along. Maybe someday he'll be able to admit his red feelings for the shorter troll... but he wasn't quite sure if Karkat shared the same affection for him. For now he would just enjoy the moments like this. Karkat pulled him in his respite block before letting go. Sollux curled up under the covers of his bed and closed his eyes. He felt the bed dip beside him and opened his eyes. Karkat was laying beside him. "Dumbath, you're gonna get thick too." he said. "I don't care." Karkat replied. Sollux smiled and closed his eyes, ready for a deep slumber.
Karkat cuddled up against Sollux's chest. He wouldn't admit it but he had become red for his friend. But he thought Sollux was still flushed for Aradia. So he tried to keep his feelings hidden. He still cared greatly for Sollux though. Maybe someday they could become matesprits. For now, however, he would just enjoy being so close to Sollux. He closed his eyes and welcomed the warm darkness of sleep.
