A mostly empty classroom in Sorcere.
Pharuan Mizzrym: So you want me to act as a lookout for this little plot.
Liriel Baenre: Yes I do.
Pharuan: Well, you did manage to steal Gelroos's grimore out from under his nose...
Liriel: And let's not forget replacing all of his silk boxers with burlap.
Pharuan: If I recall, I'm the one who wove the illusions on those, not you.
Liriel: Whatever. You couldn't get into his room to replace them or get the book. I could. Now you act as a lookout for me.
Pharuan: Why should I be your errand boy again?
Liriel: Because if you aren't, I won't tell Gomph about your facility in getting out of your house in one piece and how you belong in Sorcere as a teacher. Lolth knows I could use one with a sense of humor.
Pharuan: (sighs) All right. What's the job?
Liriel: I'm going to make Shakti Hunzrin's clothes turn invisible.
Pharuan: That's easy. And quick to do. Why do you need me again?
Liriel: Because it may take me a while to paint a crescent moon on her chest while she's in reverie without disturbing her. In silver.
Pharuan: And you unveil your art work later someplace public, I'm guessing. How blasphemous.
Liriel: Is that the sound of you refusing?
Pharuan: No, that's the sound of my admiration. When and where?

Author's note: Yes, I am quite sure I'm a little fuzzy on the timeline here. Do I care? Not particularly. I hope this was an amusing minute of your time. Tell me if it was or wasn't.
