Galinda tossed restlessly in her bed. Turning constantly, trying so hard to get comfortable. She finally gave up all hope of sleeping. It was useless. Ever since Fiyero had died, she had nightmares of insane proportions. Every one about how he died. She missed him immensley and wished he'd come back. She could still hear his soft voice, see his gorgeous face...

Finally sleep gripped her. But it was a sweet dream, instead of those nightmarish visions. Fiyero was standing in front of her, always a few strides away from her. He was smiling at her. Just smiling. A smile that said everything and nothing. A heavenly glow enveloping his body. A gorgeous picture, one she could never forget. She never wanted to forget...

All too soon, the dream faded away and Galinda was back in her bedroom, back to staring at the ceiling, back to being alone. She sighed, tossed her blonde hair out of her face and stared out her window. She watched the ocean water lap onto the shore as the silvery moon's refection danced across the waves. It was Fiyero's idea to buy the house near the water. He loved the water. And that was his grave now. Galinda got out of bed and headed for the window. She was going to sit by the ocean. She wanted to feel closer to Fiyero.

She ran down the sandy beach to the water's edge. She sat down and let the water lap on her feet, her white dress falling all around her. The water was icy cold, but she didn't mind. Her blonde hair blew lightly in the wind. Galinda closed her eyes and listened to the water lapping gently onto the shore. A lone tear slid down her cheek.

One Month Earlier:

"Hey, Glinda! C'mere!" Fiyero called to his long-time girlfriend. Galinda ran over to him and looked over his shoulder. She followed his gaze to the water. It looked inky black next to the night sky. The stars glimmered on the waves and the moon danced. The waters reflection put a whimsicle twinkle in his blue eyes. "Yeah?" she asked.

"Sit here and close your eyes." Fiyero instructed. Galinda smiled at him. She sat down and put her hands over her eyes.

"Don't peak!" Fiyero commanded. Galinda sighed and shut her eyes tight. She listened to the water lap against the shore.

"Okay...open." Fiyero said. Galinda opened her eyes and gasped.. Fiyero kneeling infront of her, a ring held in his outstretched hand. "Glinda, will you marry me?" he asked. Tears streamed down her face. "Yes!" she said, sobbing uncontrollably. He slipped the ring onto her finger. "I love you." he whispered in her ear.

Galinda wiped the stray tear away and stared sadly at the gorgeous diamond ring on her finger. They were due to get married the day Fiyero died. She could still see Aaron's face when he broke the news to her. Gabe, Dororthy, Trey, Nessa, and Elphaba were with him. Elphaba sat by her side the whole time.

Galinda pushed the horrible memories away. Trying so hard to focus on the good things that had happened to her. But it failed. She pulled the ring off of her finger.

"I love you." she whispered to the waters. "Hear me, Fi? I love you!" Then she dropped the ring onto the sands and watched as the tide carried it away.
