A/N: One shot, there's gotta be some kind of regret from Sheppard when both Teyla and Ronon are on the enzyme. (Even though the show has completely dismissed it for now)

"Keep with the plan." He told Ford as much. He was forced to watch as the enzyme was injected into both Teyla and Ronon. It hurt him even more to see that they were liking it.

He sat alone in a small corner of the cave where his team was able to sleep. The more correct term would be, where they could sleep if they wanted too. McKay was too busy working to spend much time sleeping. The enzyme kept Ronon and Teyla awake long into the night.

On top of all that, he'd gotten decked several times by Teyla for no apparent reason. He'd gotten decked so many times by Ronon that he'd lost count. He leaned back against the wall of the cave. He hated himself for putting Teyla and Ronon through this, even though he knew it wasn't his fault.

His fault, the entire concept burned his mind. He could count Ronon out of his head easier than Teyla. The first time she'd hit him, she'd immediately regretted it. Now, as the enzyme took a greater, he saw the regret disappearing. Just earlier today he'd been decked by her as he tried to break up a fight between her and Ronon.

He'd failed. She laughed as he rubbed his wounded arm. It hurt more than getting stabbed with a knife. He stabbed his own knife into the ground. Should've seen that coming. He said to himself. All this to get Ford back, was it really worth it?

He clenched his fists. He hated being a paw in this plan. The people he cared about were soon not going to exist. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, trying to calm himself down. It brought back a memory he tried to forget.

"You two have got to get off the enzyme." He said to them as they both shoveled food into their mouths like animals.

"Why?" Ronon snapped.

"Because it's screwing with your heads. I can convince Ford that you two should be off the enzyme, but I need you to stop taking it."

"What if we like what we are becoming, Colonel?" Teyla's mocking sincerity hurt.

"You like it!" He replied with shock. "Look what it's done to you two. It's changing you so that you can't think straight anymore."

"You fear it only because you haven't used it Colonel. It makes me stronger, faster. I can defeat any of Aiden's men with ease."
"Is that all you care about?" He asked, shocked.

"What else is there to care about?" Ronon said.

"How about Atlantis! How about actually doing something that won't result in us getting killed!" He was yelling, a mistake he soon realized when Teyla punched him in the face.

He'd woken up hours later in the same corner he was now sitting in. He swore. One of these days Ford, you're going to regret what you've done here. He left the second part unstated, if only I can get my team through this first.
