A/N: This is my first fanfic I have written. There may be some spelling or grammar mistakes. This is a Kaname and Yuki one-shot! Enjoy!
Birthday Gone Wrong
"Headmaster? Since tomorrow is my 10th birthday, can I invite Kaname-sama?" Yuuki asked.
Yuuki was turning 10 and she couldn't wait. She figured she would invite him. Kaname had saved her from a very thirsty vampire. Yuuki always loved him since then.
"I'm sorry Yuuki, Kaname will not be able to come. He has business he needs to attend to," Headmaster replied. "And why don't you call me Daddy?!" Headmaster was about to cry, so he left the lounge Yuuki and himself were sitting in.
Yuuki was all alone and heartbroken. How could Kaname not come? She began to cry. Why was she so lonely? She rarely got to speak with Kaname! Why can't he come to her 10th birthday? And soon enough, Yuuki fell asleep deep in thought.
The next day…
"Happy Birthday Yuuki!" Headmaster cheered! He had woken Yuuki up from thoughtful sleep in her bedroom.
"Thank you…Daddy," Yuuki said. She tried to sound happy, but Headmaster saw right through her.
"Yuuki, I know you're sad, but cheer up! There's somebody here to see you!" Headmaster said.
And then, the bedroom door in Yuuki's room opened.
"Kaname-sama! You came!" Yuuki quickly jumped out of bed and hugged Kaname.
"Happy Birthday Yuuki," Kaname warmly greeted. "I told Headmaster to tell you I wasn't coming to surprise you. I hope you're not mad," Kaname continued.
"I'm not mad Kaname-sama! I'm so happy you came! Thank you so much!" Yuuki looked at Kaname. She noticed a little box in his hand as he hugged her.
"Kaname-sama, is that for me?" Yuuki questioned.
Kaname chuckled at the adorable expression on Yuuki's face. "Yes Yuuki. Here you go," Kaname gently put the small box in Yuuki's hands.
Yuuki quickly opened it and found a silver necklace with Yuuki's name attached to it.
"Thank you Kaname-sama!" She tried putting it on, but she just couldn't get it right!
"Here. I'll put it on for you,," Kaname chuckled.
Kaname then turned Yuuki around and pulled her hair to her shoulder. He then saw her pale neck. His eyes flashed blood red. He struggled, but it was too late. Kaname's head was at Yuuki's neck, and he licked the spot where he saw the rushing vein. Headmaster then grabbed Yuuki away and put her behind him.
Kaname finally regained his sense. "I'm sorry Yuuki, I'll be leaving then," Kaname sounded very sad and lonely. He turned to leave, but stopped with a small gentle hand on his arm holding him back.
"No! Please don't go! It's ok, it was just an accident! I'm fine, see?!" Yuuki begged.
Kaname turned around and hugged Yuuki. "Alright. I'll stay," Kaname smiled.
"YAY! Now, let's go eat some cake!" Yuuki happily cheered.
"But wait, we don't have cake!" Headmaster remembered. He never really celebrated birthdays the right way. Luckily, Kaname knew how to.
"It's ok! We can go to the ice cream shop!" Kaname said. Finally, he can spend a birthday with his dear girl.
