A Walk Through Mirkwood Forest (Part One: The One To Rule Them All)

(Authors Note: I am not an avid reader of the books, but I have seen the movies. Which is what inspired me to write this story. So it isn't going to be perfect in the eyes of hard-core and I understand that. So, this is just a fan fiction. If you're looking for a well thought out fic that follows the exact rules of the book universe then turn around because it won't be like that. I had to take this down once because hard-core fans were just picking it apart when I have 100+ fan fiction that I am writing and will be posting on here and I was just sick of them expecting for everything to be perfect. I'm gonna try and start it up again. This is for entertainment purposes only. Please don't take it so seriously.

Also, this story is currently looking for a beta-reader, if you are interested please PM me and I'll review your beta-reader page. =))!!! )

Elrond sat back patiently, the dawn was slowly rising, the Council Members would be arriving any moment. The dew glistened like tiny crystals in the coming sunlight. Rivendell truly was a beautiful place to live. Although one elf was not enjoying these few rays of sunshine. A young red haired girl sat in the shadows, a large book lay open in the midst of several scraps of parchment in the middle of an oak table. Her fingers were thin as bone, being worked far beyond their years. Beautiful and intelligent, she would be the prize of any couple, except the two that conceived her.

The young girls father was a human soldier, fighting for his land. Her mother was a young she-elf who had been captured by a band of thieves. Like a knight in shining armor the warrior rescued the young elf. They fell in love, married and produced Aaralyn. A pairing of a human and an elf had never been thought of before. Many looked down on the couple. The family lived happily for a year, until Aaralyn's father was called to fight, he never returned to his family. Days later, the mother was found dead in her home, it was filed Suicide.

Elrond sighed, walking behind the young half-elf. "Aaralyn, you are going to work yourself to an early death," she made no reply. Since she was a young girl she always liked to be doing some sort of activity, the specialist explained to Elrond that it was a form of self-depravation. If she was doing something, it kept her mind off of the deaths of her family and the withdrawal she was going through, she did this to make herself feel justified. Elrond would always find her moving, whether it was writing, climbing trees or shooting her hand made bow. "I would have believed you would be jubilant on this day. Seeing your mentors for the first time in quite some time."

"You don't seem to understand, I am happy," the red haired half elf touched her uncle's hand gently. "I suppose I just express it in an unnatural way."

"My lord, the council members are arriving," a young dark haired elf alerted his elder.

"Thank you, Aaralyn sweetheart please go alert Gandalf and Frodo of the arrivals and please go attend to the council members horses," Aaralyn nodded gathering up her papers and leaving the room quietly. A pair of bright blue eyes followed Aaralyn as she walked gracefully through the rose gardens.
