STAR WARS

Earth meets the Galaxy Far, Far Away...

Chapter 1: Welcome to the Galaxy Far, Far Away...

Well, my name isn't really J. D. La. I changed it so the government can't find me. Well, my real name is John. My friends and me discovered one thing that changed our lives forever. It appeared George Lucas' entire universe, was…real.

The bell rang at Lewis. We all ran out of school because it was the start of Spring Break. I was reading my Star Wars Tales comic.

"John!"

I turned around and saw a friend. Larry was one of the geeks at school and a Star Wars fan too.

"Is that the new Star Wars tales?" he asked.

I nodded.

"It's the seventh volume," I replied.

Larry said his parents couldn't pick him up so we went back to my house. We ran into Sam, not a Star Wars obsessed person; she just has a crush on Hayden Christensen. We kind of…well, knocked her over. It wasn't my fault she just was admiring the picture of Anakin Skywalker in the latest Star Wars Insider.

"John!" she yelled at me.

Larry backed away and signaled "What?" to her. She apologized and I decided it was getting late. We took the canyon shortcut. That's when it happened.

We were walking down some rock and saw something. It was metallic and had some red paint. It was too far away to see.

"Guys, over here!" I pointed.

We ran towards it only to find some type of transport, a shuttle of some kind.

"Isn't that the Rebel Alliance insignia?" Sam asked.

It appeared to be a Lambda class shuttle. I heard footsteps.

"Get behind the rock!" I yelled and we ducked under some loose boulders.

The landing ramp went down and Rebel troops proceeded out. I peeked out and tried to hear what they were saying.

"Captain, are you sure this is a good planet to build a base?"

"It's fine, the primitive civilization will never know!"

"Well…"

I turned to my friends. The Rebels are trying to build a base here. What if the government finds out? I had a lot of "what ifs" in my head.

All of the sudden, Larry sneezed and a blaster bolt flew over our heads.

"Who's there?!" the captain yelled.

A face looked behind the rock and pointed a blaster at us. We stood up.
"I found the intruders, captain, they're just children!" said the soldier.

I yelled to them that I am not a kid. The captain walked up to us. I thought he was going to kill us since we saw advanced technology and tell Washington.

"You aren't going to kill us, are you?" said Larry.

I signaled him to shush. I saw Sam trying to sneak away until a blaster cocked in the back of her head.

"No, we aren't going to kill you, now that you…well witnessed this, you will have to come with us," he said.

"And leave our parents?!" I yelled at him.

"Fake your deaths then," he replied.

Hard decision, huh? I had to leave everything I knew in the past 14 years. Up above, a military helicopter was flying on patrol. It noticed us and flew down.

A Nikto rebel looked up and yelled something in Huttese. Everyone looked to the sky as the military jumped down.

The captain yelled at me, "What the Kriff did you do?"

We were pushed into the shuttle and immediately lifted off, the helicopter shooting at us. We went to full speed and then to hyperspace.

I walked up to the captain. "I thought we were supposed to fake our deaths!"

"Well I am sorry, okay?" he replied.

I really wanted to punch him but we were heading to our favorite universe.

It appeared the guy's name was Cracken. I think he appeared in the Episode VI's deleted scenes but oh well. We soon arrived at a fleet. It included a few transports and an escort frigate. We are here, and will stay forever. Welcome to the Galaxy Far, Far away…
